I'd call myself an egalitarian. I certainly believe in equal rights for the sexes (among other things) which some would say makes me a feminist, but I would never use the word myself because it's too unclear what it means.
Is there an "ism" that just wants people to stop hating eachother and be respectful?
No. ofcourse some issues feminists fight against I can support but overall I just can't support an ideology that is filled with inaccuracies, aswell as the type of people it produces.
It, along with the other similar movements, creates people with a victim complex, anger, and now it seems they've started to condone violence on people, especially since the Trump election.
Another thing I had an issue with was the latest women's march event. They litrally told female trump supporters and pro-life women to leave the march yet they had a woman as a guest speaker at the event that was involved in the kidnap, torture physically and sexually, and murder of a 64 year-old gay man...They had her up there to speak of the ethics of people.
So they essentially revoked women's right, or tried to, to take part in the march yet had a violent, vile, sociopathic, excuse my French, cunt, be help up and speak on behalf of the march.
If you can't look at that, that feminists will disown women and treat them like they're any less women because they don't share the same opinions, yet view a woman that abused an older gay man for two to three weeks as worthy, then your ideology surely has an issue.
But to answer your question, no. Although feminism is mainstream now it still only makes less than 20% of the population that supports it in places like UK and US.
Feminism means women's rights, not women's rights and men's rights. I honestly don't understand why people miss this. Feminists seem to focus on other things, like "oh but it's for equal rights". By definition, it's only for women's rights. Men are oppressed, too.
I'm proud to be a woman getting a good education hopefully going on to university can cook.sow. knit and still learning about sex still have my L plates practice makes perfect lol
Feminism as a social justice movement today has basically failed the modern woman as its led to them rejecting and protesting against where they fit into society. Encouraging (forcing) traditionally male gender roles onto women is the real reason women are so angry today. It has nothing to do with a "male patriarchy" Women just still blame men for doing this, like the march/protests on Washington after the inauguration.
No normal man takes gender "equality" seriously anyway. The only time a man would go along with it is because he thinks it may get a woman into bed by pretending.
Well anyone who's saying there isn't equality among races and genders is just nitpicking at this point. They pick and choose where they want to be equal
This is exactly why it would never work to begin with. It's either equal or not. That was achieved a long time ago. The fact that this is still an issue tells me it would always be an issue. You can't create legislation that tells people how to think about their interactions and observations anyway.
as a girl, i do not consider myself to be a feminist.
i'm against guys who think women should be in the kitchen, or stupid people like this, but to me, that doesn't mean i have to be a feminist. it just means common sense and equality
In the old days a feminist was a woman who was proud to be a woman and who did all the thankless jobs like cook and clean and raise children, and did it well.
Nowadays a feminist is just synonymous with fat ugly lazy bitch faced cows who all hop on the wagon of a band playing out of tune and complaining how they have been wronged by "the man" because they are too shit do contribute anything positive due to their hard mule headed stubborn bitch tit cunt knuckles.
What this poll shows is who will say they are a feminist, however there is no consensus on the meaning of this word.
Depends on what brand of femenism you're speaking.
I'm all for equal rights, removal of the glass ceiling that exists in some industries still, losing negative stereotypes about both genders etc
But idk if you'd call that femenism or not.
I can say i'm DEFINITELY not a radical femenist. Men don't do it on purpose ust because they're men thanx.
I agree with feminism, but I'm not active in it. Though I don't feel guilty for not doing anything, they seem to have it covered.
Bigger fish to [save from] fry[ing] y'know?
I'm not a feminist per say but i'm not against feminism either. (And have no qualms with it)
BUT do you mean PROPER feminism or 'female supremist' idealism disguised as feminism?
