Are these slight hallucinations normal?

So I know having full-blown hallucinations is a bad thing. And thankfully, I don't have full blown hallucinations. However I do have two unusual frequent observations that could be abnormal... or at least uncommon. One of them only becomes noticeable when I look for it, when I try to see it, the other is always there. So I'll talk about the one that's always there first.

The microwave in the kitchen has a small digital clock on it. When I'm looking at it, more often that not, the little numbers are jiggling. There is nothing wrong with the clock, but the small numbers are wiggling subtly, kind of shaking. I watch it when I eat cereal on the kitchen bench. It doesn't frighten me... it's just strange. I walk up to it and when I'm close enough I can see the numbers aren't moving. This doesn't happen with any other clock.

The second thing is when I look at photographs and pictures of people I can imagine that they have red eyes. When I look deeply enough I can make their eyes look red to me, and then they'll stay that way for a while even when I just glance at them. It looks like the eyes are following me. I'm pretty sure this isn't normal, but if people could give some comments I'd be happy to see if there are other people who also have these odd little visual quirks, these semi-hallucinations. Thanks!

This are visual distortion issues and not hallucinations, so normal. If you stare at anything long enough your perception of it will probably change, but nothing to be concerned about.

Yeah, you're right. I suppose if anything it's my thoughts and ideas about these distortions that are abnormal. Like a cognitive thing instead of a sensory thing. Although that microwave one is so vivid and random, like it's always there...

Well, much of perception is filtered from conscious awareness. For instance your eyes move rapidly several times a second to avoid retinal burn-out.

If you are becoming aware of perceptions not normally noticed it is a good indication that your subconscious mind is awakening.

If this is the case then you should probably gird your loins a bit since there are many, and I mean "Many", perceptual anomalies which it filters out, and if not acknowledged, can lead to madness.

It's a tumor. You should see a doctor right away before it gets worse.

Wait until the pictures start smiling at you and talking to you in your head.
