I believe we are all the same.

I don't think that its the races that are different. But the cultures. The way the parents bring up the children is what makes one culture smarter or one more athletic.

As far as race..all of us belong to the human race with a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Ultimately, we all descended from Africa.
Dappled made very valid points with respect to the subjective nature of "intelligence" and testing procedures, and the same would apply to athleticism, represented by certain ethnic groups dominating some sports but not others; compare professional hockey to basketball to soccer to baseball.. Evolution created small, but significant diferences, though none absolute, to each group, dictated by their respective environment.
I'd like to see Keyboardsolo's sources, and while Valkeer validated North African contributions, at varying historical times, practically every culture can boast something which brought us to modern post-industrial society. We can't ignore the ship building capabilities of the Norse and Pacific Islanders, and the list of technology contributed by the Far East spans millenia. Pyramids were also built in China as well as South America..but..point well made as far as it relates to pre-Classical era.

White males generally excel at tests put in place by other white males. If IQ tests were set by Australian aboriginal females, every white male would struggle and be seen as inferior.

But it's a source of amusement to me that the highest IQ recorded was by a woman.

If intelligence is a function of our ability to survive or even thrive, European white males are probably the least intelligent group on the planet. Survival skills are so rare, we celebrate them in TV programmes. Stick any of us in a forest and we'd be found slumped against a rock within a fortnight. Put us in charge of experiments with particle accelerators, though, and we fare a bit better. It's all a matter of perspective.

White people tend to forget that until the time of Alexander, the pale face didn't have much influence on the world scene.

While the Egyptians were building the monuments from which 4000 years of history looks down upon the world and imbuing women with(almost) equal rights, the European pale face was doing....well nothing much that I know of.

But yeah there are subtle differences between the races but nothing to say that one is better than the other.

The research suggests that intelligence and brain size have a strong genetic component. This is even when other things like culture, education, childhood nutrition, etc are accounted for. For example, there's a steady and repeatedly confirmed gap between average white American and black American IQs. The average IQ of half-black and half-white mixed people is right in the middle of that gap, and the number moves predictably in the appropriate direction when the ratio of that mixture is something other than 1:1. And yes, this is when upbringing is accounted for. There have been studies on the subject involving interracial adoption from infancy.

Of course a lot of people will dismiss this outright because they find the concept offensive, but the science doesn't lie.

i dont know at all but what i wonder about is the size of the head. if you have a big head for instance does it follow that you would be smarter cause its filled with a bigger brain? just a thought

I think it has a lot to do with the culture and values we are raised with, not the color of our skin. Those who are better at math, are raised to value this in a different manner.

However physical features certainly have some advantages. Black men generally are better at basketball. This isn't to say others can't be equally as good, but stereotypes exist for a reason. We just shouldn't hold people to these preconceived standards.

I am not sure but the white male has shown superiority of both gender and race in the past. I know we should be equal but you cannot dissagree that the white males have been superior of race and females in the past.

It's possible in theory, but I think on Earth we've co-mingled enough, and early on enough, that it probably never ended up happening - unless you consider culture, in which case there are obviously some cultures that receive more education than others.

Cultures do certainly.Based on how well valued certain aspects are in society one might be physically or mentlaly more capable than the other.Race wise it's nothing but genetics.Yes,black people tend to be stronger.Yes IQs very by race.

However I don't really take the culture or race of a person to mean anything.They are only inferior or superior ot me based on how they act as a regular old human.

We're all different. There is absolutely no "inferior" or "superior" race. It's a very subjective question, and here it's relative to democratic nations I believe, power. But ultimately no one is superior or inferior, because it always relates to something.

We arent the same. Blacks are physicaly stronger and females supposibly live longer. What is wierd is even though all of this White males have pretty much enslaved blacks and females at some point in history. I think whites have something others dont but its not known. How else would you explain how the white males acomplished so much while putting so many others in slavery?
