I am getting so tired of all the immature and depressing posts on IIN. The same questions over and over again, many of which seem only to be posted for their shock value or posts that are so stupid that it is unimaginable the OP doesn't honestly know the answer (why would anybody try to make themselves seem that stupid?).
Are there other similar sites, though with less depressing and less moronic posts, but with a small member base like IIN, out there?
A place one could discuss a hard day or meeting a new friend; just more upbeat than IIN. Less of the self diagnosed excuses for irresponsibility, and more about meeting people with an interest in meeting you. No pictures facebook style.
I doubt I'll leave IIN, but I must find a happier crowd or I'm likely to self diagnose myself into oblivion. Thanks.

      The site's not so bad. It serves it's purpose and it's purpose is for people to ask unaskable questions.

        Yes OP, there are plenty of interesting people. Although sometimes they act human and say stupid things from time to time so they end up hiding in plain sight.

    Why not try avatars sights
    you can do a quick search for them online and chose.

    Avatars sites allow you to dress up a little character that represents yourself...you can then post about your day or interests...meet people just to talk to and get to know.

    I am a member of two other forums that are specific interest ones. But there is a general community section for posts about anything. In this section there are posts like painting appreciation, quizzes, word games, movie discussion, general music, travelling, food, plans for christmas etc. Discussions ranging from fluff to philosophical. What are your interests?

    Haha this is a really depressing post...I can see your problem ;)
    Even if a post is somewhat depressing the comments which follow sure liven things up! People enjoy a great freedom here to express themselves and their problems... But if you want a more superficial social scene, you can leave IIN and see for yourself whether the grass really is greener.
