Are public toilets private? or are we being watched?

Sometimes i wonder if there are cctv cameras in the public toilets in shops and restaurants etc. is this legal? Can they do this?

    It's not legal to watch one use public restrooms but you took the words right from my mouth, i do think about the same thing..if you notice them urinals that flush their self gives you something to think about ?

    Toilet web sites abound on the Internet. Just log into potty cam for live toilet shows.

    As much as I dislike the idea of having no privacy in the case of having to go to the bathroom, when you need to go, you need to go. Just get it over and done with.

    You bet your bippy you are being watched, but why care? It's not like you've got anything everybody else hasn't, right?

      But its embarrassing and what if it gets on youtube. So I'm being watched in the cubicle taking a piss/dump and wiping? I have a bad habit of eating in the cubicle too. It started as an anxiety thing.
