I don't mean to sound whiny or offensive and I know there have always been repetitive, fake and stupid posts. It's just that I'm finding it hard to find many interesting ones recently. So, is it me with the problem or are a lot of posts actually quite boring recently and my feelings aren't completely unfounded?

There are good days and bad days. Earlier this month, I went a week without finding a single thing I wanted to answer. Can't underestimate the effect of IIN losing wigsplitz, either. She wrote a huge amount of very good stories and polls, and I do mean a huge amount.
We're all capable of writing interesting things but, if people are anything like me, they keep forgetting. Sometimes I realise it's been ages since I posted anything and I write about a dozen stories all at the same time. I noticed one of my fellow Brits had a bit of a spurt recently too and they were all good.
I guess if you're an IINer with an account, write us a story or poll. And if you're a site user without an account, sign up and come and say hello to us. And I'll keep up my side of the bargain and try to write some stories later today.
I agree that sometimes the questions and polls are boring. Today I posted my first poll, How do you access IIN, which in itself is a rather common question. You however posted a comment that was very interesting and that's what makes this site great.
Ahh, but I commented because it was a good question. As soon as I saw the title, I honestly thought, "Right. I'm definitely commenting on that one". If nobody posted good questions, there wouldn't be any good answers either. Questions are important so I'm glad you posted. I stuck to my word too and posted half a dozen things.

Possibly due to losing a few good users and my internet connection at work (which is how I have been using this site for a while) has ceased to allow me to use this site and... uh... well I have a personal life so when I'm not at work or sleeping, I've usually got something going on.
I haven't noticed until the last few weeks but yeah, the posts have gotten more boring. I was thinking about spicing it up and going on posts that I have seen literally over 9000 times and posting "OF COURSE HE CHEATED ON YOU, YOU ARE ILLITERATE, SEARCH BAR, LADY!" or "OF COURSE YOU'RE MISERABLE WITH YOUR LIFE, ILLITERACY WOULD MAKE ANYONE MISERABLE, SEARCH BAR MUFUGGHA!" and quickly become the most hated user on IIN but it wouldn't make a difference to the people posting. They'd probably be like "what's a search bar?".
I haven't even been able to be active in my "Experimental" account, which I use almost exclusively to post stories and has dozens of stories posted on it. Which I'm not saying anything else about. What account? Fuck you.
I would say so. I myself have stop contributing posts. I think people just can't be bothered anymore.

It's been in the back of my mind to submit a flurry of posts before the New Year.
It depends and it seems to go in cycles. There are some periods where the majority of posts are redundant and silly with only a few good posts sprinkled throughout and other times where posts are much better. Lately, I've been noticing some rather good ones.
Post are now, have been, and probably always will be boring, annoying, and about someone's personal life that I really don't give two shits about. That's what keeps me coming back, though, for some reason.
