Are most trolls male?

i am a female and hell yeah I'll troll back.

Trolls tend to have hyena genitals so it can be hard to sex them but it's not impossible.

Personally, I think women have a much more subtle form of trolling that is often overlooked when compared with the much more aggressive style of men as its not just insults, it requires a bit of thought.

Trolls are their own gender.

Good question. I think most are male. I'm not going to get into the psychology of the troll but I do think it's something that females are less likely to consider. Not saying never, by the way. Just less likely.

I think we just assume that their male but I think it's probably a pretty even number. Lol, I troll sometimes and I'm female.

I have seen both men and women trolling, but usually its appears to be male. I would suggest that generally speaking young men like to 'push buttons' to see how far they can go, and what they can get away with. They also seem to find it amusing to try and make people angry or upset, maybe it gives them a 'rush' and so many young people are desperate for that feeling.

Women who troll appear to be trying to be 'one of the lads' and imitate their perception of young and angry men, possibly to attract them?

yes, male have more testostrone, so they are more likely to do aggressive thing like troll. manly women troll because the same reason, high testostrone

I'd say most of them are seen as being male because people arent so convinced that women would go about with trolling. And it's pretty easy to pretend on the internet.

Probably mostly male... but there are certainly some female trolls. According to her, my girlfriend was one when she was a young teenager. She wrote a particularly notorious piece of fan-fiction known so being 'so bad it's good' deliberately to troll lots of people!!

I voted there's no way of knowing, but honestly I believe that more than half are probably male for the reasons stated by Sleepingbeauty. I'm female and I've typed up giant troll posts just to have my conscience get the better of me and delete them... haha.

I don't know, I think it's hard to tell over the internet. Some girls might be claiming to be boys, and some boys might be claiming to be girls. I've encountered both male and female trolls, but I think the most trolls I do see are girls since I'm always doing something kpop related. Crazy anti-fans :P
