Are mosquitoes proof of god?

I understand why mosquito bites itch,I know why flea bites itch.
(they inject an anti-coagulant to drink your blood which is what causes the allergic reaction).

BUT after years and eons of life, why have't these generally)unprovoked bugs still have not learned or evolved to not bother humans by causing pain or itchynes. Why haven't they changed their tactics?? Evolved thier formula? It is detrimental to their survival!! We kill the in mass!!

It seems that if their bites didn't itch, they could take over the world!!

Why haven't humans and animals become immune to them? People can die for multiple flea and mosquito bites. There is no immunity!!

Is this proof that there is a God and he is helping us by not making these bugs evolve?

Yes. 30

Good Lord, get some weed in your system. Proof of God would be they suddenly didn't exist *Please God banish the mosquitoes, PLEASE*

The only proof of god I'd accept is god himself. Anything less than that pretending to be evidence of god is just nonsense.

This is just proves that theists have poor reasoning abilities. It's like saying mushrooms are evidence for the existence of Smurfs because they live in them.

I'm a Mormon, but if I were to argue for God's case, I wouldn't use that one. Contrary to what 99.99% of what people think, I actually do appreciate and study science, and you would probably be better off studying the principles of evolution before you go trying to turn mosquitoes into an argument for the existence of God and make us religious folk look dumber than a lot of us actually are.

That seems to be a passtime for idiots who find Jesus.

    Two things:

    1. Read up on how evolution works. Or watch this 10 minute video, if you want. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vss1VKN2rf8

    2. When a mosquito stings a human, she doesn't intend to kill us or cause pain. All she's trying to do is get our blood and go away.

There's no advantage for mosquitoes in causing serious pain. If it did, we'd wake up when stung and we'd attack the mosquito.

There's also no advantage for mosquitoes to kill us either. It's kinda like a parasite: they need something from us, and they need us alive. If they kill us, they lose their source of food.

    • If you get too many mosquito bites, you can die.

Mosquitoes also carry and transmit deadly viruses.

Causing us to kill them en mass.

      God should fix that.

It's not that simple, I'm afraid. Evolution isn't guided.

Exactly what I was going to say, although I was also going to add that we've not all finished evolving and are not "perfect" for our environment. We're just a step on the way.

    • Bit by mosquito, kill mosquito. It's detrimental to their life. Why not NOT itch people and animals? Then we'd have no problem with them and wouldn't try to eradicate them from our homes and earth.

I never thought of it that way. I mean, the world and all living things are proof of God, at least I think so. Your logic is interesting.

Bugs don't bite me very often. And they rarely itch. I guess I have evolved to not be bothered by these bugs. Does that mean I'm proof of god?

No not god . Dont look at god as you see in the bible . We are god . We are the higher power. But your question, its mother nature . Our world works in a perfect way where we SHOULDNT be gettin over populated so mother nature kills things off , but we humans try an stop that by making vaccines and all this other things . Hence usa is over populated and were in debt cause this reason.so let mother nature do its work and just sit back live life.

You obviously have zero concept of what evolution is or how it works.

    Comment Hidden ( show )
      -
    • But if mosquitoes evolved smartly, their bites wouldn't itch and they could live long happy lives and not be bothered by humans. We'd have no need to kill them, and we'd leave them alone. That's the whole point.

When you get a flea on your skin, you kill it. We spray and bomb fleas and mosquitoes but if they didn't annoy us so badly by the itching, we wouldn't care. So it's detrimental to their survival.

God is protecting us from mosquitoes and fleas by allowing their bites to itch, thus making us want to kill them and protect ourselves from them. Not too many other beings are so numerous and so indiscrimante in who what they attack, so it makes no sense that they haven't evolved an anti-coagulant by now so as to go unnoticed. The only logical reason is to protect humans and animals from their tyranny.

Lies I tell you, just ask my girlfriend.....or your mum. I'll get serious for a second and I'll explain why it hasn't happened. Your question is why haven't humans become immune to the bites well for a start off the allergic reaction is an IMMUNE RESPONSE to the saliva that is injected into the skin, an allergic reaction isn't actually a good definition for what is occuring due to it sort of suggesting the person suffers from type 1 hypersensitivity but in reality most people have a reaction to mosquito bites it just involves the antibody IgA. Now evolution occurs in 3 stages, isolation, natural selection and finally genetic drift, it is due to this process that mosquitoes have actually developed quite good defense mechanisms at being swatted. As far as evolution and itching goes well thats ridiculous, we as humans have adaptive immune systems, whatever the mosquito could evolve into and subsequently inject into us our immune system would detect it anyways and cause an allergic/immune response. Infact mosquito's have evolved to the point where in their saliva they have a natural analgesiac which numbs the area so just on this very basis alone your argument is moot.

            • No the anitcoagulant they inject to keep the blood flowing is what causes the allergic reaction.

If a mosquito bite hurt, humans would of found a way to make mosquitos extinct by now.

    • Figure what out? I'm talking about immunity to pesky bugs that have plagued humans (and animals) for eons. Why are we not immune, or why haven't the bugs changed their anticoagulant to benefit themselves?

ever heard of evolutionary arms race???? google it
mosqitos where I live have been gratualy getting quiater at flyng, so you don't hear them so much. plus they have white stripes to brake up there out line.(they evolwe with these qualities)
as for there preys evolution... wel I don't thinkan anoing itch wich you can easily ignore is so important to cause a considerat evolution ( there are more life thretaning things tho protect from)but sone animals have eviolved thinker fur or hairs on there tails to swat the flies (horses, yes that is why thei have long hary tails) or an un appetising smell. eye lashes not only sheild eyes from sun but protect them from bugs. humans tend to not need evolve so much as other animals because they can modify there inviroment to there liking (bug spray, fly swatters ecc.) but it is true that bugs have been getting immune to are chemicals and poisons.
(plus the itching is caused as well as there saliva but by the simple fact that there mouth parts are a foreign body invading are skin like when you get a vaccine you itch, it's are bodys defeces kicking in.
plus why do you think that evolution means that god dosen't exist??
all the relligius people I know accept evolution and think genesis as a childrens tale.
creationism is an american fenomenon, in europe people can't beleve people still beleve in the adam and eve story.
