Are ghosts in our dreams a paranormal presence?

Ok this might sound like nonsense to some but for me this really creeped me out..

So me and my boyfriend moved into an apartment recently and we had finished unpacking and fell asleep. He tells me he has this dream about his dead grandad talking to him. He wakes up to find me asleep on the couch, now i dont remember this very clearly but he says hurry come back to bed and in my sleep i replied "i cant your grandads in there"
I remember waking properly to see hid face as white as a ghost.
Obviously this could be a coincidence but others hearing the story say otherwise.

Any thoughts?

    I don't think being haunted by dead grandpa is really that bad, even if this really happened. For the most part, ghosts just generally move your shit around and maybe slam doors or stomp around...not that scary, ghosts, you could do better. Grandpa ghost probably wants you off his lawn.

    I had a dream visit from my cat a few months after he died of old age. From the nature of my dream it seems my cat was having trouble accepting he was dead and moving on. In my dream I was wandering around my house at night, but there was nothing outside, no trees, no stars, just black. It was dark in the house. Anyways I kept wandering around with a confused feeling like I was searching for something, but the feelings were not my own. And everywhere I looked my cat was sitting in the corner looking up at me like he expected something from me. My mom also says when her sister died, she was visited in her sleep right before my uncle called with the news.

    I believe in the paranormal. Be warned, their are some that caution against talking to spirits, especially those that are familiar. There have been reports of malicious entities pretending to be loved ones (etc.) Until you know otherwise, be cautious. Did the spirit tell you anything?
