Are famous people just naturally more prone to corruption?

Idk about you guys, but I think famous people are naturally more prone to corruption then people who don't get as much TV time. People who are famous are usually rich, and they're always doing stupid shit! They constantly cheat on their lovers, do drugs, engage in illegal activities, and it's all because it went to their head!

Everytime I see a famous person on TV I naturally think that 90% of them have something to hide. What do you guys think?

I believe all of them are prone to corruption 7
I believe most of them are prone to corruption 18
I believe 50/50 are prone to corruption 21
I believe most of them aren't prone to corruption 3
I don't think any of them are prone to corruption 7

Yeah, but don't forget that a lot of people do drugs, and a lot of people cheat on their partners. the actions of a famous person get a lot more attention.

Moreover, when a celebrity is seen talking to a woman, a lot of people will assume he's having sexual relations with her.

But it might be true that celebrities do more crazy stuff. It's pretty stressful to have the world watch your every move, so I understand they need an outlet

it must be the pressure of being celebrity that gets to them - either that or its just that we hear about it more in the media

Fame makes everything more difficult, it wouldn't be fun.

  • This is a stupid question. Celebs are tame. The most corrupt person is probably the john smith down the block that you dont know.

I think it may just be the excessive wealth. It's as if they are searching for the next thrill they can't find and money can't buy.

Sad that they can't be happy with their lot :o(

There's a good article written by Pat Sajak about the "bubble" that many actors live in.

    http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/03/04/pat-sajak-hollywood-really-cares/

They are financially successful in ways most people can scarcely imagine; their whims are treated as commands; outrageous or boorish behavior is condoned; they travel in limos and fly (often privately) between their multiple homes; they hobnob with politicians who come to them for advice and input (and money); the glamour of their business rubs off on them and gives them access and a sense of importance and wisdom.

the article is mainly about why actors think they're the end-all to politics but it does point out why some are just crazy too
