actually, sounds like a great grounds for action against these abominations.

Get a group of concerned mothers claim it's basically pedophilia-motivated showcases of little girls, get some "disapprovers" to jump aboard the hate train, get the internet hate machine to work, and we can make these stupid events disappear.

yeah, i would say so. also, there was one event like this where one of the judges was caught playing "pocket pool" and got in trouble.

that aside, i think theyre tramatizing to kids. forcing a kid to go about a perfect routine and get the trophies the parent never could as a kid. I notice a lot of the parents are very ugly, and very mean and competitive. I saw a mom hit her kid and another cry and say "Mommys gonna hit me, i know it" on stage when she slipped on a line. that's a lot of pressure for a little kid.

I despise beauty pageants. I think they are extremely perverted and should be banned.

Child pageants are disgusting. Anyone who would attend these things should be jailed. It's okay to be proud of your kid or whatever, but don't make them think false beauty is all that life is about. And don't even get me started on that "Honey Boo Boo" shit....

YES,THEY ARE! They treat these kids like models and some models pose naked. In many cases moms try make the kid look sexy. In many case will say things like "look at that little fox" and "wow she is burning up the dance floor, is it hot in here or just me"? This coming from the judges. Also notice many the judges seem way to happy watching those kids.

I don't think they are pedophilic at all. Underneath it all, I don't think there is any sinister intention in these pageants.
BUT it makes it so much easier for pedophiles. I have always believed these over the top child pageants are basically the pedophiles dream. These children are spray tanned, slapped with makeup, clothing that hardly covers their body. Come on, a pedophile will NOT turn down that.

You know there was a clothing sale on in one of our large shopping stores the other day. The items for sale were placed at the entrance to the store, in great quantity (possibly a couple of hundred of these clothes hanging up at just above waist height (you seriously could not miss them)
They were ALL different colors, some extremely frilly, some extremely revealing (high cut, even just a string!)
By the afternoon, I think there were ten left! They were ALL preteen girls knickers!

At least 90 Moms have allowed their very young (due to tiny size) daughters to wear these adult clothing (they were definitely adult looking 'sexy' lingerie under clothes, there was NO mistake).

You think adults (parents inclusive) are disgusted in this? No.
I just wonder who (or where) these girls will show off their new attire to? Maybe a public catwalk?

By the way, I'm a bit old fashioned myself. I was even shocked to see them on sale at the entrance to this 'mart' to begin with. Quite obviously you yourself may be getting old minded? Girls (young girls) clothing has been getting so much more adultish that it is becoming the norm!
