Are adopted family members loved just as much as birthones?

When a couple or single person adopts a baby or child, do you think that the adoptive parent(s) are loved just as much as birthparents are and that the adopted child(ren) are loved just as much as birthchildren?

I'd like to hope so...but I think it depends on individuals. My grandmother knew someone who adopted their first child and doted on him...until she had one of her own. Then the oldest was ignored. I think she's awful.

Maybe not just 'as much' in a way, but rather 'differently' instead. Just differently. Maybe even more so in some cases. I think it just depends like Charli.m said.

I think it depends, but it definitely should be the same

I know the parents love their birth kids more than their adopted kids. I am adopted. I was adopted into a sporty family but i love acting, music, dancing, and singing, everything they dont do. My mom was happier about my brother getting a coaching job than me getting a good lead in a play.

Depends on the family. My Mom was adopted and her adoptive family shunned her once her father died but they're jerks to begin with.

I have an adopted cousin that I dont really know too well and he could die and it would have absolutely no meaningful impact on my life whatsoever. To answer your question, it depends.
