Arachnids are drawn to me, iin?

Over the years, I have been having harassment probelms from the eviliest of creatures on this planet, the Arachnids!

Once when I was a child, I climbing up a tree. My group called to me and as I ran toward them, I happened to look down at my left arm to find a big brown spider. I said to it very loudly,"OY! Get off!".

As I said this, I was furiously shaking my arm. It detached itself from me and I never saw it again.

Some years back, there was a time when I had gotten used to using the toilet in our basement. The basement was unfinished and dark. Prior to this incident, I never encountered a spider in that loo.

However, one day, I turned to face the right wall while sitting on the toilet. I was horrified to see a wolf spider staring at me with its big eyes. It didn't move at all.

I was terrified that it was going to jump on me and attack me. I calmly spoke to it of my intentions to wipe myself, leave and that I meant it no harm. As soon as I was done, I ran like hell out of the basement.

Yesterday, I was in the kitchen standing around near the stove so that I could prepare some coffee. Lo and behold, I suddenly felt a prescence on my right arm. I looked down there was an odd spider striking an equally odd pose.

The body was clearish and there were little soft and clearly visible black pads on the ends of its legs, like little shoes. It looked at me with these large eyes whilst bringing its legs up high into itself, like woman's petticoat.

I completely lost it. I started panicking and yelling for help. I was scared that it might be poisoness. It ended up jumping off.

I asked my mother about it and she claimed that this spider had been residing in the corner of a kitchen window for a prolonged period of time. No doubt ploting something heinous.

I would like to be able to write these of as coincidences but there have been other times where spiders seem to have to been drawn to me and my bedroom, and would keep coming back even if I would keep killing them! Is this normal?

If arachnids were drawn to you you would be attracting ticks, mites and scorpions, and not just spiders.

If spiders really are drawn to you, that may be a sign of a latent superpower.

Next time you see a spider, don't try to run away. Instead, focus your mind on it and try to take control of it's will. Your fear of spiders is actually the fear of your own powers. Embrace your arachnophobia and it will become arachnomancy.
When you have mastered your ability to summon legions of spiders, world domination shall be within your grasp.

Spiders are as beautiful as your story. I think they are your guardians. Simply smile when you see one and go about your business. Thou shalt not bring death upon them, for that could bring about the end of all you hold sacred.

But a random one is often always noticed. Even if its an accident.

When I see spiders in my house, all I have to do is let the chickens in the house. They become a nice snack for my birds.

It's called normal life. And it's venomous not poisonous.

If you eat it and you're poisoned, it's poisonous.
If it stings you/poisons you, it's venomous.

Wait, so you think because you've had a couple of experiences with spiders in your lifetime, they're drawn to you?

If they follow you around the room in a sort of Conga-line screaming your name and waving their little legs about, then I'd see where you are coming from.

If they frequently turn up on the pillow next to you, stroking your face with their webby buttocks, I'd see where you are coming from.

But no. One time a spider was on your arm. Another time a spider was on the wall near you. THAT IS IT!

What isn't normal is that you think this isn't normal.

Get a hold of yourself, man! They're more afraid of you than you are of them.

I rather like spiders and to be completely honest I've never understood arachnophobia. Spiders are actually quite beautiful.

  • I have a reputation among the spider community as a slayer. I hate spiders and kill them, although I do feel bad about it. I killed one at work the other day! "Come into the light, foul beast" I commanded as it tried scuttling away from the terror that is my show.

So yeah. Word gets around fast among the spidies and I am not bothered too much by them.

    • damnit. Shoe!!! hahaha. I cannot edit this for some reason. A show of any kind by me would probably be most terrifying indeed.

It's not unusual for you to see so many spiders in your life. It only sticks out to you because you hate them so much. They aren't drawn to you anymore than anyone else.

after seeing them so much, you should get used to them!! that's what i'm working on. I fear them too, but lately i've been trying to get over it just by watching them it helps and sort of personifying them. there is this translucent one with the shoes like you say (that was cute haha) that keeps showing up in my room. after awhile i thought of him as a pet. he was gone for a long time and now came back with longer legs!!! now i have to get used to him all over again... but he hangs out in my closet mostly. maybe he hit spider puberty..hehe. that also reminded me i saw a wolf spider inside a tree and its eyes were actually glowing like a cat's O_O I don't know if I could ever get used to those spiders. they are slightly cute when they have all the babies on them, though.
