I painfully voted for Hillary to vote against Trump with the only realistic canditate that had a chance to beat him. I am a "radical" moderate myself, or social libertarian if labels are necessary.

Most Americans really respect the idea that abortion is bad but necessary, appreciate responsible gun ownership. Want relatively low taxes and the freedom of choice but still embrace social health care and welfare for the truly sick and needy.

Most Americans don't care if you identify as a woman and want to use the women's rest room even if you have testicles, as long as you don't assault anyone. Gay? Get married, who cares what others do?

Most Americans understand there is a different (un)justice system for people of color compared to Caucasians And are not okay with that but (caucasians) find the backlash often counter productive; similar to the current women's rights movement.

Social media gives a voice to anyone and everyone and often times it's the fringe, outlier, extremists that have the loudest voice. They get shared, hashtagged and amplified into a perpetual individual's echo chamber.

Moderates tune out and don't say anything or move in the extremist direction, because they feel they have to or they can't rationally talk people down from their crazy soapboxes.

I have black friends (haha) that think cops are just killing unarmed black males constantly. More people died of bee stings or lightning strikes in 2017 than unarmed black men were killed by the police. Every day police help people in amazing ways and risk their lives doing so but those videos rarely go viral.

I know women that were legitimately sexually assaulted or been forced to make the choice of dignity or a job. That is terrible and needs to be corrected. Yet I have myself slapped female friends on the ass while drinking and apologized and made up after. I didn't have my career or reputation destroyed because of it.

The extreme power of the individual, whether right or wrong, that is given by social media has rendered the real media impotent. Click bait, viral, sensationalism grabs eyeballs, but often doesn't do society justice. True journalism is difficult to find.

The USA is a big country with a lot of different values and the two parties understand that and exacerbate the differences for political power. Imagine if all of Europe was a country. Belgians and Italians and Germans and Swedes are so different that the concept of a collective consesus is crazy.

Trump embraces the chaotic divide, he has always done it: in business, with his cabinet, and with the American people. He wants everyone to canabalize themselves so that only he is left on top. Unfortunately he has the power to effectively end humanity and this planet as we know it. I hope he is not like Nero and set Rome ablaze because he, "wanted to see what it looked like on fire."

That's why I voted for Hillary.
