Anyone ever use okcupid?

What's your guys opinions about dating sites? I just got onto one and messaged a couple of people. A friend of mine seems to get laid occasionally on plenty of fish. That's not exactly what I'm after, but I wouldn't turn down a hookup. Anyone have any success meeting people on those sites? I've heard horror stories before. I prefer being in proximity to someone before I decide whether I want to open a conversation but I really want to meet some women, so I'm trying this out. Thoughts?

    POF is the bottom of the dirt but a sure lay however if you're looking for something long term you'll have to subscribe to a pay site.

    OKcupid is one of the better ones (if you can even call any of these sites "good" at all). Its easy to get laid from OKcupid, but very difficult to find someone who you actually want to be with as a partner. There are actually some nice people there, but all of the people there have some kind of "issue(s)", thats why i dont go there anymore. But for a free site, it is not bad. As always stay safe, use protection, beware of false advertising, etc etc....

    Never used a dating site. I heard most of them are sausage fests with very few authentic female users and a lot of catfish accounts.

        There's a lot of people who live in perpetual self loathing misery. A little validation gives them some kind of self esteem boost once in a while, i guess.

    Only thing I've ever used was tinder but that was more for a brief period recently where I was just after a casual hook up, and a sense if curiosity to see if I recognised anyone around my area ( tons if people from my high school )

    But yeah I met a couple of people from it one person I'd seen around town anyway, it can't hurt anyway

    I've met the love of my life on plenty of fish the only thing is he did lie about some things in his bio but we have been dating for eight months. Also once you start dating make sure they delete the app some people can become addicted to free pussy

    I feel that they are worthless and cause more pain then good. But! A friend I had 13 hrs ago in high school found me on okcupid, and I am extremely thankful, even though I've had NOTHING but bad luck and one night stands
