Anyone else have the dream where your punches dont hurt people?

I always have a dream where i fight the person who i despise the most in the world. And i NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER, win. Its not even about winning persay. Its not even a contest, to the person im fighting, its an extermination, and im the pest who is to be exterminated! I throw punch after punch, throwing every ounce of strength into it. And they dont even care, they just move their head to the side and look back at me like i didnt do jack! Then the person i fight annihilates me because im so worn out swinging punches that are wasted, even though before i was basically skillfully dodging every punch they threw like im a pro boxer, so i would think... I GOT DIS. NO CONTEST, I GOT YOU NOW! But no.
I get beaten, and beaten hard!

WHY BRAIN! WHY DO YOU MAKE MY PUNCHES SO PATHETIC IN A DREAM YOU CREATED!! WHYYYYY!

Am i alone?! :'(

    Yes,it is normal. I believe it's due to a lack of confidence in actually digging this person in real life. Usually when I have these dreams I feel as if someone is holding my arms back as I punch.like my arms are to heavy to give in a full powered punch! After going to the gym for a couple of months and gaining much cofidence because of my muscle mass I had ,had one of these dreams and I could fully punch the other person. This is just my oppion and not scientificly proven.

    always. it seems like no matter what i do it is completely useless. same when i run in dreams... i cant run fast at all

    I've had a few dreams where punches don't do anything. In fact, the first time I became lucid, I karate chopped a security guard in the neck - it did nothing- then he chopped me back and I woke up! So annoying!

    I've had dreams just like that, but then I usually can lucid dream and make me beat the other person. I try not to lucid dream though, it's more fun if you let your dream play out. Anyways, it's normal.
