Anyone else hate the freezer?

Ok then, basically when i was younger (about 11-12 ish) my mum had us kids defrost the freezer, we had to scrape all the ice off round the edges of the freezer and since then ive not been able to stand that vile screeking scrawpy noise it makes when you open the drawers / take things out or put things in. So much so if im cooking something out of the freezer somone else has to get it out for me or it doesnt get cooked.. Im 21 now and it's a bit rediclous. Got any advice or similar experiences? Thanks :)

    open it an inch everyday, then do an inch more every day or every few days until you pull open the entire drawer easily.

    put your headphones on real loud so you cant hear it when you open it
