Anyone completely ignored by their parents?

Is this normal? In my house, all us kids are on our own for everything. We get money barely and it is as if we're not here. I'm talking crazy ignored by parents. You can be gone for days without being noticed. Birthdays are ignored. My mom doesn't care what happens to us. We get basics, that's it. We're ignored. She had a c-section, that must be the reason? I'm trying to make my own jokes. I have had to take my sister to the ER when she had an allergic reaction. My mom didn't lift a finger. She was there and ignored everything. I have friends who give more of a shit what I go through, and ask about my life. My parents? Zilch.

Because if the baby's too big a c section is what you do. The joke is she blames him for being big enough to require surgery that leaves an unflattering scar.

My family is like this, I feel so unwanted and unweloome around them. I see how my friends families are and it just hurts to be around them. I went No Contact with them 8 years ago and it was the best thing to ever do. I tell anyone who asks that my parents are dead because they are to me. This is mental abuse and from your family it hurts so much. But as you get older you can see this is not normal. Run and stay away, they obviously do not love you. Take care of yourself and make great friends and do something that makes you happy on the holidays. They will never change.

    "We get basics."
Better than nothing, right? At least she hasn't thrown you out.

You may have no real relationship with your mother, but you have siblings to bond with - not to mention a roof over your head.
