Anybody else scared of hospitals?

I am scared of hospitals and I am not scared of anything. I am not just talking about being admitted as a patient. I'm scared to visit. I get repulsed by sight and smell of sickness, old age and general helplessness. Recently I had to visit my father who got admitted on an emergency and I could only stay a minute before running out. I feal terrible but I couldn't breathe. I'm sure I couldn't face being in a hospital myself - I would rather die.

    I love hospitals,even when I was younger,and they smell so good but thats just me but yes it is normal so nothing to worry about

    Me too. Everything seems so clean yet so contaminated at the same time. Like what if they missed a spot? My mother works at a hospital and she says that they don't wipe down the gurneys they just change the sheets. Makes me shudder

    Hmmmm, if the thing that freaks you out is seeing people sick and helpless maybe your really afraid of being helpless yourself? And I'm sure your dad understands that you had to run out; since it freaks you out that much than he probably didn't want you to be that scared in the first place, so he doesn't mind that you ran out.... does that make sense?

    I believe your fear may actually lie in that these diseases you see in places such as hospitals, the death...
    I believe you may actually fear your own mortality.
    Also, normal.
