Anorexia recovery is harder for who?

during recovery from anorexia, anorexics can become resilient to recovery and prefer to continue what they are doing. So if their were two anorexics with the same family life, social life, same everything except for how they were treated based on their weight before they got anorexic (example: a girl/boy was fat before and made fun of while the other was slim before and not made fun of), who would be more resilient to recovery?

someone who was slim before becoming anorexic 10
both are equally resilient 29
someone who was fat before becoming anorexic 21

When a person suffers from anorexia it means that their perception is completely distorted, despite the fact that they are severely underweight, they believe that they are obese.

If people suffer from this condition it doesn't matter what has happened before, because in their minds both of them would consider themselves obese.

Resilient to recovery..I think you mean resistant to recovery...true anorexia as opposed to eating disorders is very difficult to treat successfully and therefore most true anorexics are initially resistant to recovery...they use their
LAck of food, starvation and obsessions and rituals as coping mechanisms and since these coping mechanisms reduce anxiety they have a hard time giving them up...they need professional in patient treatment that reduces the anxiety first....

It's harder for people that don't know the difference between "who" and "whom." No one cares how thin you are, get over yourself.

....you discerned that from my comment? What an ignorant statement to make! For all you know, I could be a psychiatrist who's tired of hearing whining. So, get bent! If I want to make outlandish statements, I shall. The author needs to check the dictionary on the meaning of "resilient," as it's used incorrectly.

        Also, duub, suck my dick.

I would be the latter. I've never really had people to tell me I was fat.

People tell me to gain me gain weight and get better, but I don't have the drive to do so... I just keep losing the weight...

  • Someone who was slim because someone who was already fat would know how to get to that stage again easier than the other one. But then again both could be equal.

If you were slim before your body would be more used to it therefore less chance of getting yourself killed.
