Animal abuse or just the final straw? iin

I don't like my neighbors, they're always letting their dog sh*t in my yard. I never have any time to thoroughly maintain my yard at times because I work late hours. But I can tell you that I've stepped in their dog's sh*t more than 20 times, I've just about had it

I remember I was off work one morning, I was going outside to check my mail. I finally managed to get my yard neat and clean. I was enjoying the beautiful sight of it. As a scanned the yard, my eyes stopped on a big pile of dog SH*T! I stopped and stared at it, then looked over in my neighbor's yard and saw their dog oh a leash. Out of anger I picked up the sh*t with my bare hand and beamed it at the dog. It splattered all over the little white Shih-Tzu and turned his fluffy coat to a nasty, wet brown.

It felt so good but wrong at the same time. I was just so angry. I'm wondering, is this animal abuse or me getting tired if them and their mess? is it normal I Did this?

I don't consider this "abuse" but it probably would have been more effective to pelt the dogs owner with poo.

WTF grow up and go talk to the fucking owners it's not the dog's fault. Dogs have to go they'll go, they don't know any better. And that comment about killing the dog is twisted, get a life.

Don't hate the pet, hate the owner. He is the one who is irresponsible and can't control or clean up his dog. Report him and he will have heavy fines coming his way.

I don't suppose the dog really minded having shit thrown at it. Dogs roll in poop all the time of their own accord, so it stands to reason that the dog doesn't really care. So unless you threw it with enough force to actually hurt the dog or really scare him/her, it wasn't animal abuse.

I'm sure you did much more to piss off the dog owners, because bathing a shit-coated dog is really the antithesis of a good time. To be fair, I don't imagine the dog liked the bath either.

Anyway, not quite animal abuse... but definitely not normal either. Seeing as you had to pick up dog poop, this was a lose-lose-lose situation :P

Buy a package of hot dogs, get some post-1982 pennies and embed them in the hot dogs and leave them in your yard. Dogs "wolf" down their food without paying attention to what they're eating. It will take a little while, but your problem will soon be over. If you want to be really sneaky about it, wait until the 4th of July, cook the hot dogs, put them on a paper plate, walk around outside and "accidentally" drop them.

Douchey but not really animal abuse. I would definitely say more like the last straw. It would have been awesome if you could have hit the owner in the face with the poo. Also you could fill a brown lunch bag with poo, put it on the neighbor's porch, set it on fire, ring the doorbell and run!

Some dogs do roll in their feces so you didn't hurt it. But what you should have done is had a talk w/ your neighbours and told them you don't appreciate their dog crapping in your yard.

They let the dog do it? Do they hate you for some reason?

    • Yet I'm the one that's constantly stepping in its shit, then having to scrape that crap off my shoes before I can get into my house so it doesn't get in my carpet, and sometimes all of it oeasnt come out. I spend at least 15 minutes scraping before I can get in my house.

Poor dog? Poor me is more like it.

I would report him. You are on private property so I think you might be able to get him for "Destruction of private property". You are suppose to clean up after your dog and he clearly does not care. Its not the dogs fault the dog just has to go. The owner should train it either to not go in your yard or at least pick it up.
