Angered for people checking me out/hitting on me

Whenever I notice a guy gawking at me or coming up to hit on me, I get pissed off. I either stare them down and glare at them until they look away or if they come to talk to me I straight up shut them down in a bitchy way. I do this to most guys unless (very rarely) I like the guy.

I also hate wearing dresses, dresses, fitted/tight clothing, shorts, revealing clothes for this very reason.

I don't know why I get so furious with them, but it happens a lot and it makes me more raged when I already have my mind set on liking one person.

Am I crazy? Is this normal? Similar experiences?

Throw acid on your face if you're so bothered by a sexual compliment. Don't you realize that by them initiating they're putty in your hands? The fact that you get an abundance of flirtations says your parents made a successful genetic pairing. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Just be firm and kind in your downturns.

  • It's actually quite disrespecting because they're viewing you as an object kind of. Especially if it was sexual. Now if you were simple-minded you would take it as flattering. Which is many people nowadays, thus the low "normal" percentage. But sounds to me like you're a rare self-respecting girl in today's society. You're normal.

I can understand where you're coming from with this as I too am a female and use to feel this way, but it sometimes makes more sense to be flattered by it instead

Kind of harsh, they put themselves out there and it feels like you're giving them a kick when they are down.

@wise, you're a generation behind. We've been through the it is seksist superficial phase and left that, because it is no longer a taboo&it is in essence a compliment.

Your reputation for being nasty will spread and I'm sure you won't have this problem for too long anywhere you go to regularly.

Why don't you just turn your back and ignore them? That would be a lot easier. It doesn't hurt to be nice - but maybe you're secretly a lesbian ;o) Seriously though, you probably just regard them all as creeps!

    • I guess so, but that at least rids the guys that are like that. I'm not like that to everyone, depends on if they just want to socialize but if its to pick me up, there is no chance.

Very very very prude. You'll grow out of it (I have no idea how old you are)

Also the "I don't like getting hit on by guys that aren't hot" is common but you deal with it in a really bitchy way.

    • No not really. It's just most of the guys come to me for the wrong reasons, giving me the same creepy looks, same "oh you're so beautiful" lines.

It doesn't matter if they are hot or not, in my case. But yea that is very typical for women to shut guys down that they consider "not hot".

I am the same way, really like walking in malls and old guys and young guys will turn and look at me, and it really bothers me. I don't want that attention. I try dressing in loose clothes and never look at guys when I pass by them, cause I feel there eyes following me. It is really infuriating, when you just want to be not looked at. Glad someone feels the same.

I never get hit on by guys (ie asked out) but I sometimes get stares from guys and drives me up the wall. If I wasn't so shy I would tell them where to go. I hate it when a guy has the nerve to stare but never says anything while he's doing it. It makes me feel like a freak. Fuck my plain jane looks and life.

IDK I personally love the attention but Im not much of a feminist. I figure I will be old and gross one day so I may as well enjoy it now.
