An older boy asked me out?

I'm 22 and this older boy (29) asked me out. I don't know if this is normal or pervy of him. I'm still in college! He has his own house, a 3 year old daughter and a normal job! I'm in my 4th year of college!

IIN? It's creepy right? He's too old for me..

That's not creepy. But you may want to stop referring to him as a boy.

It would only be creepy if you were under 18. However, if you think he's too old for you, you're free to believe it. And if you want to date him, that'd be ok too.

Wow, what an incredibly strange post. If you like someone, you go out with them, no matter their age; if you don't it doesn't make any fucking difference what age they are.
You are a very odd girl.

I think it's not so much that it's creepy, but rather that he's in a different stage in his life, because of the house and kid. Seven years isn't an especially large age gap. If I were in your shoes I would feel uncomfortable, because at 22 I wasn't looking to take on a lot of responsiblity especially not the responsibility of someone else's child.

If you're not comfortable just turn him down. You don't owe him or anyone else an explanation as to why you're not interested. I can certainly understand your position. Don't feel guilty, just turn him down politely.

I wouldn't actively call this creepy unless he is overly persistent or starts to act weird.

Based on how childish you come across, yes, he's too old for you. *hands you a juice pouch and some animal crackers*

It's not creepy at all. I think you've just been brainwashed by whatever culture you live in in to thinking that anyone who's older than you and finds you attractive must be a 'creep'. Seriously, 7 years age difference is practically nothing in the scheme of things. You are both adults.

As you get into your 20s, 30s and 40s, 7 years diff is even less of an issue. When I was 20 I was in a LT relationship with a woman 16 years older than me! And now that I'm older I had a relationship with a woman 19 years younger than me. They were both great relationships for different reasons. 7 years difference is NOTHING! What's important is love and attraction between the partners.

Honestly I doubt you're 22. At that age you should be ready to enter the workforce or go to graduate school. But according to the tone in your post you don't sound mature enough. You sound more like you're in high school.

It's not creepy, your both adults and live life how you see fit, if you truly believe he's to old then so be it, that's your choice. Also consider the fact that some people go to college at different times and ages, sometimes not at all.

You should be grateful he has a job and his own house. If he has a kid he'd more then likely be faithful to you too.

Maybe he's just looking for a stepmother to babysit.

    22 and 29 ?
Oh dear, I'll just shutup then. Although 22 years was not my biggest gap ever :-D
