Americans - do you vote in the presidential election?

Seeing as though voting is optional there, just wondering how many American users on this site vote?

Every time since I was old enough. For all the good it did...

Even though I'm dissatisfied with our system here, I think mandatory voting is one of the few ways they could make it even worse.

The people who aren't even interested enough to vote voluntarily are the absolute worst kind of voters to have. They probably just vote straight party-line purely out of habit, or vote for the last guy whose ad they saw on TV.

Really? I have a bit of a problem with that word "probably" being used to define what people "definitely" are.

I didn't use the word "definitely". I did say "absolute worst", if that's what you mean. To clarify, what I mean is that as a group, people who don't want to vote are the worst bunch of voters. But individually, they only "probably" vote poorly.

I worked at the voting polls in the presidential election between Obama and Romney. It was 10pm when we closed, we didn't even have the voting ballots boxed up yet and we already knew who won. Really, what's the point of voting for a president, when the electoral college is the ultimate force that decides who wins.

No. I've never voted and it's not likely I ever will (I'm 20). Never even registered. It wouldn't matter anyway considering how ringed and fake our system is. I want to be able to actually CHOOSE who my next president is and not the "Lesser of two evils". I want a genuinely GOOD option (and it would be wonderful if the good option actually had genuine say and power in our nation. Too bad over 90% of our politicians are lying, flithy scumbags). But we Americans haven't had a good leader in over 30 years.

I am yet to have ever voted for an presidential election. See, for the the last election (2012), I was still a minor at 17 years old so, I was unable participate. I did however, help to spread political truths with other users via tumblr.

I am not american so I didn't vote but I bet many people are going to lie and vote... you should have added another option. I dont know if you're interested but I do vote (although I'm 20 so I have voted like twice?)

Yes. Not that it matters much on national level. But I am already there for local stuff. So I go with who I think is the lesser of two evils.
