Am i too "weird" for society?

So recently I've been looking at my interests and the interests of most other people and I see a disconnection. I tend to have much more... strange... interests. Some of the more tame ones are furries and My Little Pony. I hang out in my room all day and I feel like I can't connect with other people because I'm not into normal things like sports and stuff. I have met a few people like me online but I'm not really sure how many there are in the world. Any thoughts/connections would be appreciated.

    Try and find an interest that other people enjoy. Like some sort of club or team you can join. Sports are so boring I dont blame you on that one.

    There's nothing wrong with being weird. Also I am proof that someone can be incredibly weird and very popular at the same time.

    get out and enjoy life.You don't sound that peculiar. I am very eccentric and life is more fun that way. It's how I get through life. Honestly I don't know how normal people pull it off.

    It's perfectly fine. There are thousands of people in society like you. I'm the type of person would would spend there time on tumblr than sun tan. I'm as white as a marshmallow and society doesn't care. Be who you want to be not because society wants you to be that way.

    Other than the hanging out in your room alone, I don't see a problem with enjoying things that many others may not.
    You really need to get out into the world and experience things first hand, not live through your computer.

      A furry is someone who likes fantasising about being an anthropomorphic animal. Like foxes, cats, wolves, but often with human characteristics.

      It's a fetish too. So lots of furries want to bang or be banged by another furry. Some even dress up in big furry costumes and get together.

      I don't really think of myself as a grown man. My Little Pony is more than just a show for girls. It has flawless animation, clever plots, and funny jokes. The most important thing for me is that it makes me feel great, seeing this awesome world.

    I believe the answer instead is that "normal" society is too weird for you. Stepping outside of social norms can net some cool interests. I watched one episode of My Little Pony with unbiased judgement and hey, it was actually funny with a plot. I am not into furries but if Fox McCloud and Ratchet can be kick arse game characters, they are fine with me as long as it isn't that sexual stuff. As popular as video games are, adult non-gamers swear that stuff is the Antichrist and Bleach is used for clothing, not for releasing bankais.
    Still, if people with different interests exist on the internet, they exist somewhere on Earth at least and probably only reveal themselves in mass at game tournaments, anime conventions and in MMOs.

    I don't either. Apparently I think too much and thinking is considered bad to the rest of society. I keep get rejected and I just don't know what to do anymore. I cant fix it. I guess some people are meant to be alone.
