Am i to big, or not?

Okay so I'm 5'8 190lbs I'm big boned and I wear a size 14. Is that to big?

No that's not to big, anything over 300lbs is to big 19
No that's not to big, anything over 250lbs is to big 20
No that's not to big, anything over 200lbs is to big 23
Yes that's to big, anything over 175lbs is to big! 43
Yes that's to big anything over 150lbs is to big! 26
Yes that to big anything over 125lbs is to big! 23

    Do you feel too big? How's your health? The number doesn't matter as much as how you actually feel while being active.

  • Ok, I think that your height and weight are fine. Your not big at all. By comparison I am 6' 3" and weigh about 240lbs.

  • Oh I've been eating healthy and exercising since I was 13 (I'm 18 now) I was 240lbs when I was 13 and have lost a lot. But I don't know what weight is a good weight to stop at. I know that there are people who are very tiny boned that can go to 110lbs, but I'm pretty sure I could NEVER get there unless I starved myself (no thanks).
    I just want to know if people think this is fat and I don't know if I should lose another 20-40lbs but it took me 4 years to lose 50lbs and I just don't know if I want to take another 4 years or so to lose another 50. I want to know if people would see me and think 'WOW she's fat!' or 'She's got some meat on her but she's not fat.' I don't know. sorry.

      If you continue to eat healthy and live an active lifestyle your weight will level out. You don't need to "try" and lose weight, just be healthy and your body will figure out what is normal.

      Yes, some people will call you fat. People are cruel. but don't lose weight for them, do it for yourself.

    It depends on if you're healthy or not. It's not always about "looking" too big, it's about feeling and beeing healthy.

    The BMI charts would put you as overweight but you're tallish and probably carry it well. The only real questions are whether you feel healthy and whether you like your self-image.

    Don't get too obsessed with the idea of an ideal weight. Just get to a point where you are happy.

    Your goal should not be to reach a certain weight, that is not important, but to reduce overall body fat %. I can't know how much of your weight is fat, muscle, bone or water.
    Since you're physically active, i imagine you have good muscle mass. You alone should know how fat you are, and how much fat is acceptable for you; don't mind the total weight. Have you ever heard of "skinny-fat" people?

    Laila Ali was 5' 10" and 179 lbs when she boxed, and she was by no means overweight.

    Just eat healthy (no more than 2000 calories per day) and exercise 30 min/day. I find that no matter what weight I'm at, that's what makes me healthy and makes me feel comfortable and beautiful, which are what really matters. If you see yourself as fit and pretty, so will other people.

      Not according to a doctor I went to my doctor and asked what a good weight for me to be at was and she said 140lbs and I'm 5'7.

    Yeah...that's big. I'm a guy, 5'8", medium-framed, and I vary between 130 and 150. Right now I'm at 150 and I need to lose weight. Even at 130 I have some flab I dislike.

    If I saw you I would probably think 'chunky monkey'. I'm 5'7 and 124. If you are 5'8 and 190, you are over weight. If you dress well, I would probably over look the fact that you are fat, but you'll still be fat.

    • Yea big boned, I have very big bones it's in my family. And 124 5'7 isn't a healthy weight, check your BMI you are probably 18-19 BMI and underweight is 18.5. And I am over weight I have BMI of 28.9 overweight is from 25-30.
      What I always think when I here people calling me 'fat' or 'chunky monkey' as you say.
      Well I'm changing my weight and I'm improving my health, but they can never change there ugly personality.
      Maybe you're not an ugly person (inside, I have no clue what you look like on the outside and I don't really care) but you're sure acting like one.

    How is it that you wear a size 14 but you are 190, wow..... some people can really lie about their weight. You suppose to wear around a 18 or something. You are not that overweight, but can stand to lose more. Good luck.

    • My weight is distributed all over my body fairly well, so I don't have a huge stomache and I also work out so my stomache is smaller then somepeople who are small boned and carry all there weight in there stomache. Some people are size 14 at 190 some are size 18 it depends on you're body type.
