Nope, I'm alone on Christmas Day for the third year running. This has been a good one, though. I'm already surrounded by toys and I'm having a whale of a time.
No. My family is a crazy train wreck with each parent having been twice divorced ! My father is on wife number three and he's only 60. It's disturbingly irresponsible. All they ever did was lie and complain and cheat, etc. I'd rather be alone than try to get to know more people ill get attached to only to have them pulled away again at the next divorce and written off. I'm sick of all of their crap. Just today I got a card from my dad. It's signed "Love Dad and Mom." Uh huh RIGHT. Mom? That was three wives ago! Yet he angrily expects me to adopt wifey number three as "mom."
A lot of people spend Christmas alone because they choose to be alone. There's nothing worse than people finding out you're going be alone at Christmas and then feeling sorry for you and inviting you to their house for dinner, or whatever. While I'm sure those people mean well, they should realize that unless a person is homeless and living on the street, if he/she is alone at Christmas, it is by choice. Not everyone wants to be around other people all the time.
I'm spending Christmas with a few too many people, to be honest. I'm a bit overwhelmed.
No. I have a lot of friends that will be having to celebrate Christmas together because they don't have families to celebrate Christmas with.
Makes me feel lucky to have my family. Of course, it will be me watching my uncle add more shit to my cousin's shit collection as his fat ass opens presents and then discards them quickly to go play on the computer while feigning appreciation and my Aunt will more than likely have a headache and be laying on the couch but hey, I'll probably have a brew with the old man so we'll be buzzed enough to have a merry ole' Christmas.
