Ever since i was about 20 years old i get a funny feeling when i see a cluster of small holes all together, it can be any holes that are on anything as long as they are close together and a bunch of them! When i see them i get this weird feeling all through my body an i shake..i don't know why or what started it but i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced a weird feeling like this when they see cluster of holes or when they see something else? I also get the same feeling when i touch jean material and it drives me crazy cause i hate the feeling!! Thank for ur time everyone!!

    It does have some photos that may make you feel uncomfortable, but it is information on the phobia you have.

      Wow! Good call, charli!

      I had no idea such a thing existed.

      Googling trypophobia and looking at the images - particularly the photoshopped ones involving human skin - definitely provoked a reaction in me, and I'm not easily disgusted. I suspect the Wkiipedia article is right, and this is a normal, deep-seated reaction, but some people respond more strongly.

        It provoked a reaction in me too and I know why it did.

        For me, and this is only my belief so don't jump me, we only exist independantly as a collection of atoms, we are not independant from anything else. Our vision is also made up of pixelated fragments which our brains blur into objects. When the brain sees holes like this it gets confused and can't decipher the image, creating terror. Brain confusion tends to do that.

        Fuck, those images ARE terrifying.

        It makes sense denim would do this because the fabric pattern is so obvious.

        I had no idea it was a thing until I saw people ask a few times on here, that's the only reason I know.

        It is unsettling. I mean, I guess my reaction isn't as strong as some, so I wouldn't say I qualify for the phobia, but I can see why some people would find such images distressing. But yeah. The skin ones are fucked up. So fucked up. Just no.

    Thank you guys so much for the information, i never understand why it happened or why it made me feel that way when i see them but I'm happy to know I'm not the only one and it is some what normal and just a phoba. My sister thinks its funny and would find little holes clustered together and bring it to me and say Jess look lol But the feeling is just an icky feeling is the best way i can decribe it. So thank you guys so much for replying and giving me information i greatly appreciate it!!
