Am i schizophrenic?

I have this stuffed elephant that I've had since before i can remember, and since i was about 12, i have heard her speak. She...talks to me. She gives me advice. And since I've read the Percy Jackson books, I've always imagined her voice to be my perception of Gaea's voice--warm and soft, comforting. Does it mean im schizophrenic? i have shown other symptoms of schizophrenia, so please comment!

    I don't know, sorry..but it has always been a fear of mine.

    The symptoms overlap with so many other mental illnesses; you should go see a doctor if you want an answer.

    I talked to a tree once when I was 6 and it answered back. I think I am perfectly sane though. it only happened a couple times though. there was some kid I thought I heard in the woods and I talked to him and he answered back only for me to realize that no one was there!

    If the Elephant starts telling you to kill people, that's when you should worry. If nothing like that happens, then don't worry with It.

    Um I think from my perspective that sice u have had it for along time ur brain has pictured it as a close to person to talk too and about that percy jackson thing um I think that is because u see the character in the book as a caring loving person so u pictured ur stuffed animal as that too its kinda like u made life from nothing and gave it a voice

    No. If it really bothers you, you should see a psychologist, but typically people who have schizophrenia don't see their behavior or delusions as anything out of the ordinary.

    this symptom could be not just of schizophrenia, but a different psychological disorder as well. if it bothers you, perhaps go see a professional.

      why does it have to be part of a mental illness at all necessarily. he could be mentally ill if he is having problems in his life as a result of this elephant talking to him. however, maybe the elephant is just speaking his own inner voices which is not always a bad thing

    Unless this is really bothering you or your elephant is telling you to do something hurtful to someone, I'd suggest not to worry about it. I used to imagine my pet rat could talk to me, and there was nothing wrong with that.
