Am i racist?

There are two races I really dislike, not because they are this specific race, but because they have this similar traits,

The way they talk, I just can't tolerate it, it gets on my nerves, I can get really upset whenever I hear it. I have to use earphones with music so I won't be distracted by their speech, yup they are in the same office.

And the other race, mostly because of poverty, they don't understand things clearly, maybe because most of them did not go to school, I don't like dealing with them, you have to explain everything more than once to make them understand, but you can find smart people among them which I have no problem with.

So does this make me racist or a normal person?

    everybody is a little bit raciest sorry theres no way around it, it would be a more healthy world if everyone stopped pussying around the issue. a world at harmony is unacheivable there will always be greed jelousy and money to distract us

      theflyingcocksman- that is the worst analogy Ive read in a long time but you make an interesting point. Don't think that nobody noticed that your two eamples are word for word the examples wikipedia used. you obviously read that page and you still managed to get it wrong. What he's doing is more specifically called inductive generalization and is not just "for people don't know better". Since it is impossible to meet every person from every race we are all forced to use this way of thinking. It is simply drawing a conclusion that may or may not be correct even though the premises from which you formed the conclusion are all true. Hence our opinion of a race is based on those we have interacted with who are from that race. Do you want to know the real truth? We are all racist to some extent. We will never all live in harmony so lets not prtend we're colorblind. We just need to understand and accept it. What I don't get is why people get so worked up over the smallest comment. We all have a right to an opinion and the right to dislike any individual or group for any reason. There is nothing anyone can say that would make me upset or ashamed of my race. Imagine if we could all get to that point.

    i am an iranian muslim. all accents are strange if you are not used to them. for instance, the polish and east european accent is irritating to me. and brummies. all others are funny!

    and yeah you are racist.. you might be a cool guy/girl. just maybe upset about certain aspects of your life and attempts to blame certain groups for your situation.

    I find it hard to determine whether this makes you a racist or not, but honestly it doesn't really matter, everyone has had or will have slightly to major racist thoughts at times, it is only considered racism to other people when you take action to this, like telling them or treating them differently etc. It does not make you racist to think such things, or do minor things as you have said. So no. you are not racist and are entirely normal.

    No you're not, I am black, but yet some black people still get on my nerves with being loud and obnoxious. I went to school and never dropped out or missed a day because of something stupid. Some black people think they are so bad just because of their race. But there are some other races that do this to. No offense to anyone

    Due to my strict catholic up bringing I've been raised to hate protestants, and I kinda do. You're normal, sometimes it's not racism just our views about certain societies. :-)x

    its normal to hate a guy or a whole pack if they're stupid enough to be in your list of people who you'd rather run away from then pretend ur cool with 'm and listening to their stuff

    there people and groups like that..some ethnic groups are like that..
    now i dunno if i offend a muslim,but i also hate most of 'm because of the atrocities they shower upon their women and children etc

    racists believe that due to genetic destiny some 'races' have specific, fatal, shortcomings.
    You appear to be, no offense, neurastenic. (By the way, in some cultures, not races, they would play possum as a norm). You get annoyed for some specific mannnerisms. Your capacity of natural abstraction is now impaired.
    Maybe you should try getting some Vitamin complex supplements, particularly B 12.

    The description of your issue definitely shows some racist bent, but disliking idiots is not racist.

    I fucking hate stupid people, I can also be racist (unlike most people I can fucking admit it). Stereotypes exist for a reason.

    For the most part though, I just don't like stupid people.

    You're not racist. You just don't like those certain personality types.

    Personally, I don't like the American Southern accent. I find it really dumb and annoying, but it does not make me racist. Being a Southerner isn't a race either.

    The only thing you're offending is your own dignity. You're exposing your intelligence level when you use inductive reasoning. Inductive reasoning is when one uses a small amount of information and makes a conclusion on a large amount of information. This is what people who don't know any better do. People who think like this also think:

    All of the ice we have examined so far is cold.
    Therefore, all ice is cold.

    Which, is not wrong -- but it can be:

    I always see pictures on nails.
    Therefore:
    All pictures hang from nails.

    Not all Muslims commit "atrocities" on their spouses and children. Actually, I have heard of very few who do and I know many Muslims (despite not being Muslim myself). In my time I've heard of more Christians who beat their wives and children, if that's what you're referring to. The doctrine of Islam is against child abuse and domestic abuse, but what are you going to do when there's retards like you running around?
