It isn't racist to hate people because of how they act.

Ok, i'm black and i gotta tell you, i don't think you're racist at all. What you're talking about is reverse racism and i think it's ridiculous, if people want to be treated equally, they should equally respect each other.

I don't put any thought into this name calling business. Who gives a shit? If I'm called a cracker, I think to myself, "What a silly thing to call someone. Cracker? That's not insulting. I like crackers. They're crispy, light and airy, a little salty, and go well with chili." Stop worrying about it. If people would STFU and stop ranting about racism and try letting at least this aspect of it die down, we'd not perpetuate the idiotic cycle further.

Personally I dont believe you are a racist. You hate the stereo-types. And because a good number of african-americans (that you've seen) follow these stereo-types it seems you've confused that with racism. As long as you dont think one race is superior to another or that one inferior to another you are not a racist ;) I'm half-black btw (not that it should matter)

Seriously I don't think your a racist and I'm black but to be honest I think black people just don't like white people calling them n!gg@$ cause they white. Right now I could go outside and call my neighbor a n!gg@$ and he wouldn't do $h!t but if them little white kids cross the street said he'd probably off on them. This is just my opinion.

Being racist is saying "get out of here this is a white nighbirhood" you shount say wanna be ganstas unless they are but your getting pissed cus they're mean but don't say the n-word but you're not a racist I'm black

Well..."wannabe gangsters" etc are characteristics which can be held by a person of any racial background. If you call a Latino, or an Asian etc. by whats identified as a racial slur, using it in the same way you would use the Nword, they would probably get mad as well. So the fact that you are associating these characteristics with Black people only....is stereotypical & a bit racist.

Dude, the whole idea of saying that people of any colour have any particular behavioural components is racism.

There is no black way or white way, only the way you grew up, and what you chose to do about it.

I dont know anough about the history but i do know that black people have been put down and discriminated and even tortured for the past 100 years or more and it was a HUGE effort to get over the most of this. By refering to someone as 'nigga' its bringing up this massively derogatory past that black people were put through. Calling someone 'honky' does not bring anything so substantial.

You're right about the first part but maybe not the second. You know, as badly as "non white" people have been treated - and that's absolutely horrifically mind you - there are still white folks who have been treated badly too. And 'honkeys' - poor folks, trailer trash, and all that are part of the classes of people who get treated badly by the system more generally.

So the most appropriate thing would be to just call people by their names. Like MLK or Will Smith, and not "nigga" or "honkey"...and stand up for all our rights, us humans, to be treated fair

Racism is baseless prejudice, which is different from hating people who are rude and ignorant.

Personally, I don't even know one black person who I like. Just my opinion though, so no you're only 3-7%% racist maximum... nothing to be worried about until maybe 30%%

i agree with a lot of what Janith says but i dnt think your racist. alot of people dont like the typical black ganster. i find them threatening.

But although i understand where you're coming from, i dnt understand why you would want to call a black person a N***** .....just out of spite?! Just try not think like this.(complicated issue)

People can never seem to understand what "racism" is. People tend to use it as a form of attack or excuse.
The way the world turns is that dark skinned people are allowed to be racist but we are not, even on TV.
My advice, let the racist idiots flip.
Also, everyone is racist, its imposable not to be. If someone says they are not, they are lying. Some people are more than others though.

  • Yes, because you are assuming all black people call white people bad names. I am black, and I don't use terms like, "cracker", "honky" or anything similar, so I don't like when white people use "nigger".

I do agree that it is wrong for black people to use white racial slurs, but it is just as wrong for white people to use black ones. However, it's not fair for you to assume that we all say "cracker" because I have many black friends that refuse to use it because they feel it's the same thing as a white person calling them a "nigger".

you are definetly NOT racist theres no doubt about it!!its perfectly fine to hate those who act as u said...for example i hate the black people that are always exagerating the racism and are always talking like we white peoiple are all racist and all that (have u ever seen crush i hated the black kid in that movie).. but back to u u r not racist for hating black people who hate white people specially if u have black friend and idols but i still belive that whatever racist shits they call us that doesnt justify our caling them the n word (dont get me wrong what they say nis unjustified too)

There's a thin line (as far as public opinion goes) between stereotyping and being racist.

You say you like Will Smith and MLK (which are 2 extremely popular black people) and you hate want-to-be gangsters (which are perhaps the other side of the spectrum)...

So what about on the typical african-american people in the world ? It's as if you choose the extremes of the race to judge the whole race by - how is that not racist ?

I seriously wonder about the "friendship" you claim to have with black people. Is it genuine - or are you looking at them waiting for the traits that you think all black people have to just pop out ?

Black people could judge white people the same way - by extremes, then I'd consider every white person a KKK member, or an ignorant hick or something equally outlandish.

Good luck but I can't really say if you're racist or not but just look at us as individuals (like the rest of the world through your eyes) and stop generalizing.

You have a point but at the same time, the whole gangster attitude stinks. I know it comes from the hood, and is rooted from institutional racism but it's still a sexist and violent attitude.

YET it is prudent to point out that it's not just an Afro-American thing. Gangsta culture is broader than that. So to make out like it's just a "black" thing is totally racist.
