Am I normal for thinking it's odd that my step-daughter finds her dad so attractive? I do not know why my step-daughter constantly makes comments about how attractive her dad (my husband) was and still is. I believe it's because she's looking for validation from him or it could be her way of making him feel good in an attempt to create favoritism toward her by him. I don't know what the reason(s) behind it are, but I swear it seems abnormal. I never thought my dad was handsome and certainly not to the point to bring it to all my friend's, and anyone else who's listening, attention.

I mean, that's nice that she thinks her dad is handsome, but to continually verbalize that seems weird to me. Hell, maybe I'm weird for thinking it's weird. I don't know.

Any thoughts/feelings about this?

    I'm not sure about this. It sounds like maybe your stepdaughter is bragging about her dad to her friends. Maybe her friends find him attractive, and she thinks it's cool, so in order to have more friends she brings them around to see how "hot" her dad is... I didn't get the impression from your story that she is attracted to him. The impression I get is what I wrote above. I think maybe her friends think she has a "DILF". :)

    Its pretty normal. I think just if she not attracted to him, but its ok to think family memebers are good looking. I know I have a goodlooking family. EW im not attracted to them, but I do admit they are handsom or pretty. Dont worry its probably nothing, she probabl yjust adores her dad

    What? Do you think she might be attracted to him? I don't know, could be that or one of the other possibilities you mentioned. You sound a little uneasy about it. Are you feeling threatened by her? I guess that would be natural, though.
