They look like stretch marks. You'll be fine. They'll be less red as they get older.
Yes they are. The reason for stretch marks is your skin needs water and nutrients to grow. If your skin doesn't get enough, it stops growing, while your insides keep going; causing it to stretch. Drink LOTS of water.
It's sad to hear the issue of stretch marks is so fiercely damned in girls' magazines and culture generally that this created such a reaction.
Yes, they are stretch marks, no they not permanent. These purple marks, caused by a lack of collagen present, are due to the skin being stretched too quickly. Maybe you are going through puberty (it does go on for a while), or recently put on weight a little too quickly. The fact your lines are quite short suggests it's not a lot of growth, and the fact they are horizontal suggests upward growth. The blood vessels below your skin are currently showing but this will fade in time and go pale. Eventually, they will disappear, particularly if you are young and going through growth spurts or, if you are gaining weight, you manage to slow the weight gain.
Unfortunately as I don't know your age or sex, I can't be more helpful.
Those are perfectly normal, I've ones very similar from the time I was 12, and still have them. There just from your skin stretching out as you grow, perfectly harmless
there's absolutely nothing wrong with stretch mark, that's just a normal thing that the human body does. check out some body positive resources specifically on stretch marks, those almost always cheer me up when i'm feeling down about my own! and just remember, no matter what you look like or what your body has or doesn't have, you're beautiful just the way you are. :)
Yup. Either you're gaining weight or you had a significant growth spurt.
