Am i depressed?

Lately I've been feeling really weird. Emotionally I guess. I just graduated in June and I'm taking this year off and I'm working. When I am at work I feel fine, like I'm happy and making jokes, but when I come home I just don't wanna be there. My mom just aggravated me to the core. And the littlest things set me off and make me want to cry. Am I depressed?

Maybe you are depressed. When im depressed I follow random strangers around downtown pretending to be a spy. I say things like, "following target" and "target on foot, 150 meters" all while talking into my collar. And when the stranger knows im on to them I say, "Weve been compromised, aborting mission repeat aborting mission." Then I cackle and hop on the first bus that stops. Cheers me up.

It could be depression, it effects everyone in a very different way. Theres also different types of depression.
As above says, it usually does need something to trigger it off but not always.. sometimes people just cant cope with day to day things.
Your best bet is to speak to a doctor, i was very nervous at doing this as you feel asthough your being judged but they will listen to you and help you, trust me! I was put onto anti-depressants for a year but they didnt work for me. You should also try talking to a councillor.

  • This sounds normal. I personally don't think you're depressed just sounds like you are annoyed by your mother.

If you were depressed, I think you probably would have had previous notions. Depression isn't typically something that just happens out of nowhere when it has eluded you for the entire time you have lived. The only time depression just dawns on someone is usually after something tragic happens to make him or her lose something precious, which does not seem to be the case for you.
