I believe in my dreams. I feel as if some of my dreams are real and have geniune importance to them. I also wish for them to become reality even though they seem very unlikely to ever occur. I dream that I have a father and a younger sister. Am I deluded and/or idiotic for believing in those dreams?

I believe in dreams too. I feel very connected to my dream self and my dream worlds. I do think they can be portals into other realities.
It depends on how you define "belief." It's entirely plausible to find meaning and importance in your dreams; a lot of artists and writers do that. If you believe they're premonitions, though, or that you astrally travel to somewhere that your dreams actually happen...well, that's probably superstitious twaddle.
It's normal to be really into your dreams, though, and to find their imagery compelling. Salvador Dali, Joan Miro and other surrealists made dreams an art form. I'm pretty sure more than a few horror writers have also incorporated parts of their dreams in their work.
Most if not all of my dreams have something to be learned in them. I remember i was on an ice glacier with frosen dead people everywhere. Except for one girl. She was frosen; but i could see her breathing. Her stomach was moving in and out and she had her hand stretched out towards me. The rest died walking in a large group but she was singled out from the rest. The others were dead and together but she was breathing and streaching her hand out towards me. I need to find where i wrote the rest of this dream out because that girl looks exactly like a girl at my church that i met a few days after this dream happened. And a side note. Premonitions are real. My brother and i have the same ones all the time. We freak people out by finishing there conversations and they think were angels or something it's quite funny. They ask tons of questions about it and whats going to happen next so that makes me feel pretty cool xD
