:O omg i think so i was thinking the same not long ago and keep thinking about it il describe wat i mean just incase its difrent like its only there if u see it and people arent alive there just there because there part of ur life and not have a life of there own like items
or lets say in other words if this makes more sence like a console game the areas in the game are only there because thats the part of the game ur in and as soon as u leave that area its gone again if that makes sence

Yes. You are crazy. So is everybody else. You are encountering your limitations. You can't see or sense what's going on inside others. Hopefully you're not trying to drag it out of them either. That would be abnormal as well as counter productive. I think this is an existential angst some of us go through from time to time. In many cultures, one's position in life is seen as tantamount to survival and gets first place in consciousness. So people are not likely to bare their souls. Their "soul" is safely tucked away under layers of responsibility as worker, parent, spouse, student, group member, etc.

yep, that is completely normal. actually that's a very interesting view to have on everything as sanity is in the mind. what i'm trying to say is that everything is in relation to everything else, that there isn't really such a thing as being completely sane.

well thats your reality, that you think no one else has a soul besides you. Maybe to them you're the one who doesn't have a soul. We're all different and reality and life if always changing and differs from person to person.

I've had the same feeling. I've even gone so far as to face watch. Try that sometimes... You'd be amazed how many people look alike. When I watched The Matrix, I nearly had a stroke... Suddenly I got all paranoid that maybe it was right, and the reason everyone looks alike is because they ran out of space and had to start recycling faces...

But in reality, I'm sure it's just some little part of our psyche that wants us to be singularly special. O.o

The other one I've had was wondering if one of those close calls I had at some point really wasn't a close call after all and I'm really in a comma and dreaming this life. It's actually not all that uncommon.

OMFG!!! YOU ARE SO RIGHT!! I always had that suspision in the back of my mind and though I was the only one. I sometimes think that I am some sort of experiment and everyone I knew or loved was not living or had no soul. Thanks so much for posting this, I feel a lot more normal now.

its called solipsism i think. means you think you're the only real person, which when you think about it cant be disproved cos you'll never have any other body or life than your own. But i think the fact that other people experience solipsism, before you even know about it, proves that you are not the only real person

Yeah, normal. I've thought about this many times before, and came to the following conclusion. If your mind is the only thing that exists, and everything else is a manifestation of your mind, there would be no way to prove or disprove this theory. Therefore, it could be a very valid theory, or a completely ridiculous theory. Nobody could tell you for sure.

You should be a writer. They create and destroy their own worlds full of soul-less people every day with the click of a few keys.
