Am i chubby?

I know I’m not fat because I can see my hip bones. But I’m worried I might be getting chubby. Normally I’m around 115 lbs and my ribs are poking out just slightly, but now they’re not as visible and I’m 121.6 lbs.
I’m really scared that Im getting bigger, but I don’t know because I’ve also been working out a lot and it could just be muscle weight. I’m a female and I’m 5 ft 7 in. Please vote and tell me what you think.

I’m a guy. When I was in high school I weighed 79lbs. I’ve been underweight my whole life, I can’t gain a pound to save my life. I’m 39 now and weigh 140 pounds. Everyone thought I had an eating disorder until they actually watched what I eat (regular guy amounts)..
If one of my daughters asked me your question with that amount of concern I’d be genuinely concerned that they had a eating disorder. But like me they all have super fast metabolisms so. You might have a super fast metabolism too. Your not over weight by any stretch of the imagination, if anything your underweight. My oldest daughter is 21, 4’8” and and weighs 92lbs. I wouldn’t let her go to college until she reached 100 pounds.

Whether you are or not. Don’t worry, if someone judges you on how much you weigh their not worth your time. My first wife was barely over 4’ y’all because she had cancer as as a child and then went into remission. People called her names thinking she was a dwarf. Those people got punched in the face by me.

If someone loves you, as a friend, lover, family, etc it doesn’t matter how much you weigh, Love is blind. I wouldn’t love my children less if they were bigger than me (my oldest son is bigger than me and he’s still a teenager) stuff happens.

Your Delicate, I’ve broken ribs falling.
I hope you gain 10-15 pounds, muscle is not unattractive, please be careful working out that you don’t let your fat percentage get to low which will have your body burning muscle instead if your eating to loose weight.

I don’t know you, will probably never bump into you in this big world, but I still care. Everyone is someone’s son or daughter and I’d hope someone told gave my child the same advice.

I meet with a dietician and trainer once a week, if nothing else I hope you maintain your health and don’t get to thin.

    • Thank you ❤️ I care about you too! I hope you do good.
My metabolism is very high. I have to watch myself or else I start to over eat. As a tween I went through a growth spurt and ate my mom and dad out of house and home. I got up to 125 then. Now as a teen it’s easier to control my eating and I try to stay at 115 or lower. But sometimes I get ravenous and start eating everything uncontrollably. Especially around my stupid period.
And thank you for the information about body fat and muscle. I’ll definitely try to keep it up to a sustainable level.
      *Hugs* 💕

i am sorry that you feel like you are chubby. you are not fat. it is just that you hit more growth spurts up until you are older and always really. you will be skinny and healthy if you keep working out and eating right. never feel fat. if you were too skinny then you would have a lot of trouble working out.

I'm not sure where to find it, but I'm sure there is a height weight standards chart. That should give you a good idea about what you should weigh. However- when I was in the Navy, I was 27 year old male. 6'1" 215 lbs. At the time I was in pretty good shape, but the Standards chart said I should have weighed 191 lbs. I would have looked sick if I was. Pretty much DO NOT pay attention to the magazine's at the checkout. They seem to criticize and always telling how to slim down or how to do things better, etc. Don't listen to others, if you feel comfortable in your body, then tell others to fuck off. You are still young, and growing, and it's hard to know how your body will settle itself. You are to young to be worrying about overweight or that crap. You are fine like you are.

    • Is that really true or are you just trying to be nice? It’s fine if you are. I just really need the truth.

Yes, its true. Check ur BMI. But ur BMI may not be as accurate since you workout because of the muscle weight. Its usually for inactive people.

    • I’ve been thinking that, just confused because a bunch of people have told me not to do it, but then others seem fine with the idea. My mom has made one of her friends constantly harass me and tell me to eat more and tell me I’m skinny. It’s nice to hear, but she wasn’t saying that before mom told her to say that. I think she’s just trying to be nice and spair my feelings which I don’t appreciate at all.
So THANK YOU! For being honest.
