Am i asexual?

I'm not interested in sexual or intimate relationships at all (attractive 21 year old, healthy female). I know that I'm not lesbian, and that up to this point I have Identified as "straight". I have had romantic relationships with men in the past, and a few of them have led to physical intimacy, but not penetrative genital sex.

As far as 'relationships'go, I am satisfied with short term, sexual or non-sexual, mutually beneficial liaisons. I don't like anything long term or committed and I am not on the rebound. Whenever I feel the need, I masturbate, fantasizing about men or women, but I never quite seem to actually have sex for my needs to be satisfied. When another individual is involved, fondling and kissing/ licking is enough. For me, when I have had enough, a liaison has to end or risk sour relations between me and the former partner (mostly due to their not being satisfied).

    The description gives me an impression that you are not asexual. Maybe it is closer to the case of lower sexual desire or "unconventional" preferences when it comes to relationships and intimacy but I would not call it asexual. It seems that you could be capable of having "sexual fantasies" during masturbation so asexuality as orientation is not probably your case.

    I'm thinking ... maybe you're not ready for a deep relationship. There's nothing wrong with that - there's no rule that says you have to be in a relationship to be normal.

    Sounds like you're trying to use "I'm asexual" as an excuse for not wanting to commit to anyone. I'm not saying you *have* to commit to anyone... You probably just haven't found "the one" yet.
