Am i anorexic if i dont eat but my weight stays the same?

When i was a freshman in highschool, I kinda let my weight go and noticed that my weight went from 115lbs to 130lbs. Now to most that is nothing but to me it was difficult because all my clothes were one size too small (they kept ripping because they were cheaply made). Now as a freshman in college, my weight is now back to 115. But the thing is that i dont eat my 2 - 3 meals every day. By now I would have thought that i would be super skiny and phisically weak and what not but my weight is still at 115. Same old 115 and im eating less. Is this normal?

Are you working out to gain muscle? Muscle weighs more than fat of course, so your weight might not go down. But without proper nutrition, you can't gain muscle properly.

    • Working out? Ha! The most I do is lift a 24 pack of 23 oz water bottles every 3 weeks or so.

Sadly, it's normal to be annorexic and not super-skinny. Not everyone is CAPABLE of getting into two digit weights. Sadly, these women with eat disorders tend to be over-looked.
HOWEVER, it is NOT normal to be annorexic in the first place. Please seek help.

I feel like if youre thinking about your weight /this/ much, something isnt right and i think you should seek professional help.

Remember eating disorders are a mental disorder. Most people with eating disorders dont look super skinny and unhealthy, but actually very average in weight.

Anorexia is a mental condition which doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the shape of your body. It might sound bizarre, but you can even be obese and anorexic at the same time. It's about your *attitude* to your body, food and eating.

All that said, you're young and you're a new college student. When you go to college, your lifestyle and the food you eat and the exercise you do often changes a lot. When you're young, your body can by itself. Make sure you eat well enough to feel good. If you don't feel weak or frail, you probably don't have a problem.

Go see a doctor or something if you're worried. Better safe than sorry.

Most likely when you do eat your body is in starvation mode . So it would be harder for you to loose weight...
Im not sure as i dont know your daily intake of food... or what kind of food you are eating.
however... id highly recommend you eat every day. If you consistently eat small meals all day you would be much healthier. And it would allow you to make sure you are fitting in daily requirments for nutrition.
also if i were you i wouldnt want to loose any more weight. Depending on your hight and age you can look up a healthy weight size.
