Soooo I have a HUGE CRUSH on my friends ex. :/ I feel kinda bad for wanting her sloppy seconds, I kinda think I'm a terrible friend. My friend values "Bros before Hoes" i'm pretty sure he likes me back and going to ask me out soon, but if he does, what should I do? Is this pissing on Girl Code? Comment and vote!

    Talk to your friend and see how she feels about it. Back in middle school I got pissed when my friend went after my exes without talking to me first. I didn't care about the guys, but I needed to know that my feelings mattered to her.

    Consider how you would feel if your bestfriend dated one of your exes. Your friendship won't last if she still carries any feelings for him and the thought of you two dating might stir up old feelings.

    If one of my friends dated my ex I would never speak to them again. I wouldn't be able to trust them. I wouldn't bring future boyfriends to meet them or talk to them about anything remotely personal.

    Ask your friend if she still has feelings for him and if it's okay with you going out with him.

    Based off of that you can decide what to do:

    -Don't go out with him if she says she's not okay.
    -Go out with him if she says it's okay.
    -Disregard her feelings either way by not asking her and going for him anyway (possibly losing a friend).
    -Disregard her feelings if she said she's not okay with it by going out with him anyway.

    This shit should stop. Since when do people belong to other people? Fuck that. If you want the ex, take the ex. If you think the ex and yourself compliment each other in a better way than it did with your friend and the ex.
    This crap about "girl code" and whatever social "rules" that existed magically since pop music started entering the scene should stop.
