Almost everyone i meet online becomes a character in my head

I know that a lot of cartoonist/animators base their characters off people they've met in real life. I do a similar thing but with people online, I don't see them as people I see them just as cartoon characters in my head. Weird thing is I tend to fall in love with those characters, but end up disappointed by the reality, end the relationship with the real person and continue to build their "character" as I see more fitting. IIN

    They're all in your head! Characters walking around in your mind, interacting with themselves like ordinary people. These characters are real as you make them.

    I can't say it is. It's also a really poor way to live life. Don't you want a real connection with someone, instead of a fake one you imagine?

    Interesting... I tend to relate people online to people I know or see. It can make my day more interesting and keep me a little more in tune with the physical social world.
