If they claim to be equal to men, they should be able to perform the same tasks, shouldn't they?
Equal rights means equal responsibilities.
Nobody should be drafted. We should be trying to make sure men can't be drafted instead of trying to make women draftable. Is it unfair for men? Definitely, but if women were to be drafted too then it would be unfair for everybody.
I agree with this actually. However like Crusades said its probably going to happen if we think its immoral or not. The only reason they do a draft is when they lose too many men on the field and they need reinforcements.
Though really at this point we have far too many people trying to enter then people being Accepted. As well as that the military keeps downsizing. The reason everyone jumped the "Military wagon" is we have such a terrible economy at home. At this point I think if they REMOVED the draft it would make no difference though if we removed it now I think they would attempt to reinstate it later on. If for some reason we go to war and run out of men or the US internal economy gets better.
From a moral point of view, I agree that no one should be drafted. But from a realistic point of view, we all know this will never happen. Because how many people would be willing to sign up for voluntary service in the military? Not nearly enough, even if you offer them satisfying payment, they'd still choose the less risky alternative. There's just too many pussies in this world. (pun intended).
Imagine a country without an army. It would automatically become vulnerable to foreign threats. And it would imply that every other country would do the same. And even if the entire world would just abandon the concept of war and live in peace, it would only be a temporary solution, because, at some point,a war for resources would eventually ensue. Resources are limited and everyone knows it. Well... unless they're ignorant liberals.
So, what are we gonna do? Are we men gonna resume being government's property and disposable utilities we always were throughout history and ensure that women will have their every desire fulfilled while being sheltered from harm and danger,even if they bring nothing to the table except giving birth to more male disposable utilities, or are we gonna ask these cunts to give us a helping hand (pun intended again LOL) in order to become stronger in numbers in case a conflict ensued?

How about all the fat old leaders starting the wars should fight the wars? I don't support killing for gain so I say those who want to profiteer and gain from bloodshed should be the first to sacrifice themselves.
No, because 1. being equal beings and having the same physical capacity is not the same thing. I'm sure there are women who could do it, but there are too many who can't.
and 2., for the morons who think they sit around doing nothing while men fight their wars for them, historically women have been the ones to keep the country going while the men were away. Doing men's jobs, keeping industry and the family's income going, taking care of family members, etc.
Also not as important, but if both men and women were eligible there would have to be a regulation on drafts per household or something, which would be tedious to executive

Many 1st world countries require men and women to serve equally and this makes their millitaries stronger. For those of you who think robots fight for us, your talking science fiction. Yes they exist...-no they do not replace the brave soldiers who put their lives on the line for their countries!
That's fucking retarded. Don't act like all men are capable of military service simply because the draft is male only. I've personally seen MANY men get discharged for being unfit to serve either physically or emotionally. Come the hell on.
Not only that, but the military being all-voluntary is part of what makes our military superior. A military full of men and women who were all drafted into it would be so fucking dysfunctional. No. Just. No.
