All women are beautiful

Define beauty first.

If you really mean appearance or physical attractivity - then no, not all women are beautiful. Nor are all men, obviously.

No, not all women are beautiful, that is a lie. Let people accept if they're ugly. Having a vagina doesn not make you beautiful; being beautiful does.

Agree and disagree.

I agree that everyone is beautiful to someone. In my opinion, however, everyone is not beautiful. Some women are beautiful, some women are ugly, most women are average. I also don't agree with this being a genetic thing. I believe it is a social construct. I find men to be the fairer sex personally. In some places in Africa, male beauty is more appreciated. Also, I don't think it can be compared with nature either. Yes, animals such as the peacock choose mate by a show of feathers or colors, however, that is a different situation with human beings. In nature, using the peacock for example, a show of feathers is the peacock's way of "strutting his stuff" (similar to when a man shows off his car or his muscles or money). I do not believe it is the same as the male peacock being the "fairer" sex but more of a way of the peacock trying to "get the woman". In other words, even the male peacock has to "chase". To the peacock, the peahen is the more attractive one and HE is going after HER. You see, male peacocks likely don't find other male peacocks to be the fairer sex. Within our society, however, most women seem to find women to be the fairer sex as well as men do.

Getting to my point, women being the fairer sex is, what I believe, a social construct. We can argue all we like about it but, fact of the matter is, our society is dominated mostly by men. It always has been. Men are attracted to women and when you go back in history, when women had much less power, a woman's job was pretty much to exist for men whether that be birthing babies, being a wife, or being pretty. I believe the idea that women are "pretty" came from this. In this society, women are considered the fairer sex however, I can guarantee you that had it been the other way around and male beauty were promoted far more than female beauty, the vast majority of people would find men to be the fairer sex.

I personally find men to be the more beautiful sex. My standard for beauty, however, is not the traditional standard of beauty (which for most in this society is feminine features). I personally (and on an aesthetic level not a sexual one) find male features to be more beautiful.

Anyway, that is my theory on why I believe that "women are the fairer sex" is a social construct and not a genetic thing. I do not have facts to back this up only things that I've observed so this is not something I am presenting as the absolute truth only what I believe to be true.

Do all women have the potential to be beautiful in the eyes of someone? Yes.

But, no one person could honestly describe every single woman as physically "beautiful". Especially in comparison to other women...

There's too much value placed on physical "beauty" as it is, this kind of talk just reinforces that, imo.
