I agree with ElephantEar, while in many societies drinking alcohol may be viewed as a rite of passage, it's not necessary to have fun. In fact, over use has destroyed the life of many young as well as people of all ages. Listen to your body.

You don't need to drink to have a good time.
Drinking is just something younger people feel they need to do to have a good time. (Easy to say, coming from someones whos now teetotal lol)

I guess you feel you can only loose you inhibitions after a few drinks, when in real terms you can do all of that, cheaper and better without the aid or Mrs Alcohol.

eat light before drinking, but be sure to eat something, don't drink on an empty stomach.

also, pace your drinks so that you drink slowly. just a sip here and there.

mixing drings lighter or milder is a good idea.

also, alternate mixed cocktails with a coke or some other type of soft drink.

    • Yeah, it could be irritating your stomach lining too much.

Eating before you drink, like Mtnw stated, would probably help too.

  • You could be intolerant (it's not really considered an allergy).
I use to have a coworker with that problem.

You should go to your doctor if you are really concerned about it or just don't drink alcohol.

Have you tried any milder drinks?
