Alcohol can sometimes defeat my procrastination

A lot of people see mm to use alcohol to calm themselves in meeting members of the opposite sex.

For me, a moderate amount of alcohol helps make it easier to conquer procrastination, especially if it's something that can be done at home.

I've been procrastinating the 3 tasks for months:

Applying for new jobs
Starting my tax return
Reaching out to an old friend.

And after a glass of wine, I was able to get started on all 3 within a span of 1 hour.

Real men down a bottle of Jack Daniels then do their tax returns and not just job applications, but job interviews.

They then get offered the job whilst drunk, and remain drunk for their entire career. Sobriety is for pussies.

Isn't it illegal to discriminate against people who slur their speech, reek of whiskey, and have throw up on their shoes?

    • With current tax laws, I don't see how someone can't if they do their own taxes.

    Dutch courage?

Sometimes a drink or two shrinks anxiety down to size, even if it's the fear of the task being incredibly boring (tax return).

I know I'm prone to avoidance; finding a million trivial things to do instead of one important thing. And I think that's because the important things are generally scarier.

I was just about to mention the wine part when I saw it in your post. Wine has a lot of healthy benefits to it. I am assuming that there are properties in it that help with emotional/mental function, not just with making a person loose.

Anxiety can cause procrastination, and alcohol can ease anxiety.

I've written papers on extacy, but the biggest task I've completed on alcohol is throwing bottles away... ok cooking, but I usually end up pouring some of my drink in the food.

    • I wrote a paper whilst on dxm when I tried the whole college thing and actually got a decent grade. I did not even remember writing it or turning it in because this was an online class.

Lol. For what subject? Mine was a philosophy paper so the intoxication kind of worked for it.

Hey, there stranger! Me too, I usually feel more relaxed and get through the things that usually would stress me out.

Also for writing papers it seems to help.
