Akward greetings

Is it normal that I hate it when you go to shake ones hand and they go to give a dap. And the akward moment of trying to match each others reaction. Or when you don't think someones goin to hug u and then they do an it ends up being sone akward sideways hug. Maybe you thought a kiss on the cheek too but they didn't and u end kissing their neck or shoulder. Is this normal?

    I'm a salesman, and I have odd greets all day. Nothing I hate more than to shake someones hand. I run to the bathroom every time they leave. Then there is the assholes that want to give you that firm grip, or the sweaty hand guy. Fu.k all that noise!!! But it's my job :(
