I cant seem to take some dates seriously because of it: the greater the excitement someone has in meeting you, the sooner they lose interest

    They've created a romanticized picture of who you are, excitement builds upon this idealized version of you and when you fail to live up to it they get extra disappointed.

    Or some shit.
