Adventure time has a very child-like-wonder to it that is presented in a way that kids and adults can both appreciate it. The adventures are always fresh and present new challenges, physically and mentally, for the duo to overcome. The humor is also friendly and done in such a way that everyone can enjoy. The story and characters are also very deep for a cartoon and it's very rewarding for fans who watch all the episodes.
Regular Show has a very regular setting and personality to it that is usually discarded at the climax of each episode. And all though the pattern is predictable, it's solid. It presents a kind of philosophy in my eyes. Any regular day and situation can become super natural if you're imaginative and make it adventurous. The story or characters aren't that deep but there are certainly thought provoking themes mixed in to some episodes. The humor is a little bit more adult themed and in some cases it really pushes towards questionable. Which I think is great. I love cynical, rude humor that challenges peoples emotions.
Both shows I think set the standard for the kind of productions that should be aired on television. They both provide their own unique way of captivating the viewer and they raise the bar for creating entertainment that appeals to all age groups. And that's becoming the standard for all forms of entertainment anymore. creating an experience that can be appreciated by all ages.
I honestly can't say either one is better than the other but I personally enjoy Adventure Time more. The happy, goofy humor appeals to how I view my life and I have always been a sucker for fantasy and adventure. It's like mixing modern day themes and humor with Johnny Quest. I just love it.
Adventure Time is aeons better with it's subtext and theories on cosmic consciousness and the like, it's like a kid's show for adults. Regular Show had some hope but it crashed and burned a while ago by getting sucked into the problem-montage battle-solution episode layout.
Both. Or:
1st: Adventure Time
2nd: Regular Show
3rd: Teen Titans Go!
4th: Incredible Crew
5th: The Amazing World of Gumball
Yeeeeuuhhh! It's Adventure Time!
In 1st place is Adventure Time.
In 2nd is Regular show.
And as a bonus: Gumball wins 3rd place!
To the person who voted 'Adults should not watch these shows ' What do think we should watch 'survivor' or 'amazing race' or 'revenge' those shows are for total retards.
AAAAAAAAADVENTURE TIME
lol idk, i watch both, i like rigbey off of regular show, hes so funny
i love adventure time because its so interesting, its like a soap oprea lmao
I don't think Adventure Time is a kids show, it's in fact a very serious show if you think about it.
Regular show has a practical theme at first that turns supernatural, thats cool
As a 20 year old, I much prefer adventure time. For me its so unpredictable and showcases a variety of characters and personalities. I thoroughly enjoy the creativity.
The regular show, however, is just annoying to me. The characters, the episode plots, everything. I simply just don't like it.
Regular Show is more of the good kind of trippy for me, and I think it's a little bit better suited for adults.
I like Regular Show because as a 20-something I can relate to the characters more. It does get kind of boring though because every episode follows the exact same format:
Normal day -> Something weird happens -> HUGE BATTLE SCENE! -> Back to normal
But Adventure Time is just a bunch of nonsense.
Adventure Time episodes can be way more intense than Regular Show, but those episodes aren't very often. I like Adventure Time, but I don't like Finn and Jake centered episodes or episodes that don't really have that deep a meaning. Regular Show usually has pretty funny episodes and cool stories; it may not be as deep but it's less boring than a usual episode of Adventure Time.
