Adult acne...help!!!

OK so I'm currently struggling w/adult acne I'm 23 y/o and I've went through possibly EVERY acne kit out there and sadly they've all failed. Well I've always struggled w/acne since about 16 anyhow as of right now its pretty severe. I've done my research and I'm thinking now its Cysts or something worse IDK. I'm overweight (just begun dieting) I watch what I eat (things that make me breakout like nuts, chocolate, etc.) I'm stressing A LOT (you have NO idea!) So my point basically is all the above are probably my issues I'm aware of that. I know the best thing for me to do is see a Dermatologist. Now to the point and my question. I have NO insurance whatsoever! I mean I have my work benefits but I'm not even sure they cover "specialties" like that and I've applied for public assistance like state healthcare but I haven't gotten word on that yet. So anyway how do I go about getting that type of insurance (if there's even one). I have no experience in health insurance shopping. What am I looking for? What are they called? If I call random derma offices they can't provide those types of info, so where do I begin? What's a good copay etc.??? Please help. SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!

for your acne.. The best thing for you to do is to do NATURAL CURES. These techniques are better and healthier than anything you can buy or get prescription! If you have oilier skin, mix organic egg white with organic lemon juice, mix it up and use it as a mask. If you have drier skin mix it up with the yolk. Also, you want to drink ROSE HIP TEA. (try googling) You can actually make rose hip tea or vaporize it. Rose hip oil is good too. Also, what even people on here have posted about, using baking soda and olive oil as a scrub. That is an awesome cure, but if you add some tea tree oil to the baking soda and olive oil it's even better. Also, stop eating processed foods, soda pop and start drinking green tea, dandelion tea and/or kombucha. If you are SERIOUSLY FRUSTRATED with your condition, you could do all of these things, which would be maximum benefit, or you could try them one by one. Good luck! And let me know how it turns out!

  • Maybe you should try Acutane, i've heard it works miracles! It's a very strong medication and you can't take it if you have liver problems(or something like that, ask your doctor!) also, wash your face with a non-scented oil-free moisturizing product once a day (such as Spectro gel ),dont go over twice a day cause you'll dry out your skin! Good luck.

Wash your hair with head& shoulders shampoo. There is zinc in it. Google natural home remedies. Lemon before bed is also a home remedy

  • I used accutane and it fixed it for me. Although I was shedding the skin of my lips like a snake for a few months.

  • Sometimes it's just your hormones that give you acne, so all the cleansing in the world won't help it. Try a diabetic diet for a while and see if that helps. Also, don't drink coffee - it can cause pretty severe acne in some individuals, so it's worth a try to cut it out of your diet for a while.

I hope you find a remedy that works for you.

    Adult acne is common.

Try to only wash your face once a day because washing your face will dry your skin causing your body to produce more oil. I use biore blemish fighting ice cleanser and I've been acne free!! Finally!!

You probably have stress induced acne. I finally got my acne taken care of. Drink water everyday, no junky good, lots of fruits and veggies and cleanse your face with one acne cleanser. Don't use too many products, just a cleanser and a mask for spot treatment such as the proactive one use overnight. Also leave the cleanser on for a minute. But stress is the big factor. Donttt stress.

You have to treat it from the inside out. I had acne for a really long time and when I changed my diet my face cleared up. Acne is one way the body eliminates toxins. So treat your body like the temple it is.
