Adding girls you don't know on facebook? iin?

I have a "friend" sort of who seems to have alot of girls on his Facebook friend list, but nearly all of them don't go to our school. In fact, a good portion of them live in a different country like Canada, Russia, UAE, England, etc, so there's no way he's met all of them in person. When I confronted him about it, he claims they add him, but I'm sort of doubting that.

One day I was over at his house, and we were on his facebook. He went on my page, and saw some girl on my friend list (whom I know in person), and told me he thought she was cute. Within the next couple of days, I noticed they friended each other, despite the fact that I never introduced them. When I asked him what happened, he said they met at a party. Unconvinced, I went to the girl and asked her, and she told me they never met, he just added her. This happened about a year ago.

Is it normal for a guy to add random girls that you don't know on Facebook?

It's kind of creepy. Sad that the girls accept the invite from someone they don't know though.

It's his facebook, he can do whatever the hell he wants and add whoever he wants with it. It isn't like he is having any kind of negative impact on these people. He probably just adds them and looks at their pictures. And they must not have any serious objections to this since they accepted his request.

This may sound creepy, but let's be honest here, who HASN'T looked at someone's pictures that they barely know?

I thought it was odd there are people who have over a thousand friends.

Its not normal Facebook is for people you actually know...and you need a dating social group Like eharmony etc. Or maybe even MySpace but even MySpace Is "my"space meaning no strangers allowed

Sounds a bit strange considering he's not single. But maybe he's telling the truth when he says they requested him. If that's true & he's not flirting with them, you don't have to worry.

    • He's not dating her. He just added her, she's never even met him. He's single.
